I love dolls like these, I have a 30th anniversary original Barbie doll from the 1980's. I don't really collect dolls like this, but I collect porcelain dolls from thrift stores and then my mum and I clean them up.

Personally I would send it back for the red paint on the doll, for how collective they are you pay for perfection, she is beautiful though

Great review, the quality seems to have deteriorated since they moved on to the articulated bodies. (also just use a touch of acetone on the tip of the nose and the paint will come right off) The eyelash hoods hark back to pre 70's vintage Barbie and the Bild Lilli face sculpts : )

There was actually a twiggy Barbie released years ago that my grandma used to have

She looks so pretty. I only see this kind of dolls in the old,italiam toy shops, I visited last summer.

The material that the doll is made out of is a very hard vinyl/plastic , that mimics the texture and weight of porcelain or resin. The staining on the body is sometimes inevitable. The concept of this collection is that barbie returns to her roots as a fashion model so the clothes are obviously gonna stay in the late 50s and early 60s style although this doll does go back to a very dior new look ensemble. You shouldn't have such a big problem with the stand , try feeding it into the skirt. The extra ridge above the eye was an original barbie thing. This doll is stunning , definitely worth the price tag she holds. The face is gorgeous , hair compliments the look , outfit has design and is of good quality , accessories are perfect. I love a good suit. Such a jem!

I loved watching this review because I'm also subscribed to Tomato Toys (AKA Timmy) and he's so energetic in his reviews and I love how you're so calm ❤ but she's a beautiful doll and hopefully you're able to fix those red spots!

I don't know whether anyone said this already, but the original doll had molded dark hair in a boy cut to allow for the wigs she came with, one was red with short curled (and glued) bangs, ponytail with glued, curled bottom a la 1950s. One was a blonde bob, and I forget now what the third one looked like, as I haven't see her in almost 30 years. So when you commented on how flat her hair is, I chuckled because the original wig was much sleeker than this overstuffed hair they root them with now.
