Just returned from this resort. Although it is visually pleasing in the outdoor areas. The accommodations were far from advertised. The best way to explain the rooms, would be “Econolodge “or may be slightly better. You got two vouchers for a nice restaurant. But they were all booked so we did not get a chance to do that. Even though we tried to book during check-in And you’re not allowed to book before arrival. One of the members of our group cut their foot on the rocks 15 feet into the water on the beach. The pools are not heated, most people did not go in the pools because they were so cold. There are some nice restaurants I believe, But would not know for sure because we were not able to go there. All others are buffets. I think Golden corral level. I think four or five stars in Mexico is not what you think it is. Most extra activities you have to pay for. And the booze is OK if you drink it quickly because once it warms up sink day-old natty light. For the money no thank you.

Some information is not entirely accurate. There are extra charges for some of activities. Water park and some water spots.

Been there . This info is misleading. Lots of activities are significant extra charge per day. The beach is definitely not the best of the Carribean, Very rocky bottom. Even if you dont see the rocks underwater, your toes most likely meet them. Ouch

Does Barcelo Maya All Inclusive provide shuttle from and to airport?

When I was there years ago.. shuttle is not included. When u book your trip, u should have an option to add shuttle from the airport.

So many misinformation in this post. 1. In the video, he's showing different areas on Barcelo Resort including Adults only & Caribe not just PALACE LIKE WHAT THE TITTLE IS which may confuse people who have not been there 2. You still need to pay for motorized water activities is not included. You need to.pay 3. Surfing,and SWIMMING with the dolphins again not included. You have to pay. But you can watch dolphin show for free 4. Top shelf alcohol is not included if you're not a premium member

I enjoyed this video, but I thought that it was rather unfair to use videos clips of other resorts like one scene looked like it was from the Barcelo DR and there were plently clips from the other Barcelo Maya hotels that were not the Palace

Place was bad just came from it for a festival outside pools and experience was nice rooms sucked food sucked staff sucked not somewhere i will go again
