I still vividly remember going to a women’s World Cup match France v Canada in Montréal and there was quite a large amount of people we even met a few fans from here in Ottawa who had travelled just to see the match and I’m happy to see the interest for women’s soccer is growing each year

Hansen is perfection in attack and even more so if the shirt has a norge color. Norway just fascinates me. I call the top women's soccer players in Scandinavia Valkyries. I saw Hansen a lot last season and it was hard for me to assimilate how it was possible that Sweden was better until I saw Rolfo's power and she's another equally fearsome Valkyrie, then Aslani is pretty but in football is far below

Glad they're getting the recognition they deserve been supporting Barca for most of my life. But only found out about the women's team around two or three years ago. When the Barca channel posted a highlight of them winning a match by scoring double digits. Ever since been supporting and so happy seeing them win the champions league last season.

I was there… best game I’ve seen in a very long time. Barça scored 5 goals, but they missed quite a lot chances too. Atmosphere was unreal, the connection between the fans and the team is special. After that, I bought my Caroline Graham Hansen - my favourite player - jersey, and, up to this day, I wear it proudly. This squad is making history.

Good Luck Nicola but we have to be pragmatic. When they gave away thousands of free tickets at Wembley there was a 50,000 crowd but it is usually 1,000+ even though there are live games on The BBC and Highlights Saturday night. Placing 2,000 fans in a large stadium will look, well, you decide,,,,,,I know 5,000 in a 20,000 Men's Stadium looks pitiful.I am in my SEVENTH decade of attending matches and AGAIN there are 3 good teams here, 2 OKs, and the rest could never beat a Sunday Football side. Even The World Champions:The USA lost 5/2 to 15-year-old American Boys and Australia lost 7/0 to their 15-year-old boys. This was INCREDIBLE...:)

As a Gotham FC supporter and season ticket holder, a team that has American stars like Allie Long, Ali Krieger, Ashlyn Harris, Kristie Mewis and Midge Purce, I can only dream of a crowd like this. While women’s football is incredibly popular in the United States, it’s primarily with the national team and not club teams. The NWSL has higher attendances than the WSL, but we are still a way from filling up the 18-25,000 seats. We hope to set a club attendance record at some point this season and we’re trying to fill out the supporters sections as well.

Great Video and you opened my eyes because this was incredible. Sadly, like, nearly, all Women's Sports I have seen, now I am in my 7th decade of watching there is the "cream" i.e. Arsenal/Chelsea/Man City and a few others are OK but the others are so poor it's embarrassing. 7/0, and 8/0,9/0, in the long run, is no good as the league has to be competitive for fans to come out in the Winter months... What a sensational atmosphere at Barca though:)

These are rare events. Normally the women play in the smaller Johan Cruyff stadium.

Competition is much closer in WSL though. 3 potential winners in WSL and this year title race will be close.

@@aftp6646 it’s only bigger events the women play in these stadiums however with the amount if fans there are for wsl clubs it’s better for them to stay in smaller stadiums and fill that up so it doesn’t look empty

🖍️It's real. It's not about as some comments on Daily Mail suggests that tickets are sold at a discount. Even if it happens, it's massive. Look at the welcome the team's bus received both in this game and the previous Champions League clash against Real's women team. The reason is that this team is super strong. It's a guranted fantastic time if you are a Barca fan in the stadium. ☀️ Also I have to say, the previous record was for Atletico's women team in Wanda stadium in a league match against Barca.
