Amadou Onana… he’s okay… covers ground really well but not the best ball playing Zubimendi… seen very little of him seems a little above average. Stiller… similar… does the simple things right but nothing crazy. Joao Palhinha (going to Bayern) I wish was a player we got. He’s very good. Fits the profile better than Kimmich but Kimmich being so versatile is what we need. Rodri is impossible but that’s exactly the profile we need. There is very little players in the world right now who play like that tho. Everyone is either Box to box or attack minded, and can’t really cover ground and support the defence… which is the profile we need.

Interestingly, Just as Laporta did Messi a great favor by painfully letting Messi leave Barcelona, which forced Messi to make the Argentina National team his main focus thus, winning two successive major international tournaments, Ousman Dembele did Barcelona a great favor by breaking our hearts when he unexpectedly left Barca. This forced Xavi to turn to La Masia. If Dembele had stayed at Barca the story of Lamine Yamal and the Spanish National team would have been different today. Some pains are worth the gains. Thanks, Laporta and Dembele: you have helped Messi and Argentina, and, Barcelona and Spain, respectively. And they all won last night. Coincidence?
