I am facial disfigured and took a long time for me to accept myself, society can be very cruel and we need to ensure beautiful children like your daughter are treasured and accepted! I am also in a wheelchair and blind, the package we come in does not matter just what we do with it!, I would suggest you keep signing but also get her an iPad with a communications system it can give her a voice and increase her reading and expressing skills, it will also help with communication with children and others who may not sign. I love that people now have an opportunity to become familiar with all our unique qualities and differences and eventually learn not to judge or make assumptions. I remember being frightened of physical differences as a child because of the way adults responded. I wish I had this opportunity way back then! Nova is a gorgeous little pixie who is obviously much loved, all the best to her family!
