Even in 2019 age gap relationships still have the power to make people stop and stare, no matter how sincere the feelings involved. In this Love Don’t Judge special we meet four couples out to show that age is just a number. Stefani, 24, and Don, 69, are married with a one-year-old son. Mindy and Larry Mikla met when retired police officer Larry was the first responder to a minor traffic incident involving Mindy’s car and are now aiming to reverse Larry’s vasectomy and try for a baby - despite the 30 year age difference. Mason Reese, 54 and Sarah Russi, 26, turn heads when they go out in public - not least because she’s a model and he’s a 54-year-old who rides a mobility scooter. Julia Zelg, a 24-year-old KZfaqr and singer, met political correspondent Eileen De Freest, age 61, on Tinder. Although their 37-year-old age gap means they are sometimes mistaken for grandmother and granddaughter, the couple have become inseparable, with Eileen flying to Julia’s home country Brazil, to meet Julia’s mother - who is eight years younger than Eileen - for the very first time.

I was 27 in 2017. The woman I dated for 3 months was 52. Best relationship I’ve ever had. I’m 33 now and the last two I dated were 46 and 50. Absolutely amazing. It’s what I prefer.

Every relationship in this video seemed so genuine except for Sarah and Mason. Mason is such a sweet and humble guy with a face that just makes you smile and I think Mason is genuinely happy. The part that I am unconvinced about is Sarah, just slight mannerisms and social cues she let off seemed to be stage, even the unseen feelings I got were so disingenuous. He said that she's never asked him for a penny but the thing is, she doesn't have to because she knows how to get what she wants. I'm not trying to diss Sarah necessarily, but something on her side just isn't true. Lord I hope I'm wrong because Mason is so sweet.

My partner is 64 I'm 33 and we've been together for over 5 years. I've never had a partner in my life that's so loving, caring, trustworthy, faithful, loyal, someone who is patient, the best parent I could ask for my daughter and I've never felt love so deeply before! Although I'm 33 I'm a very old soul and and the connection between us is indescribable. It truly is. I love these relationships!

When my grandparents got married, she was seventeen and he was forty. They lived together for fifty years, and seemed to love and be devoted to each other. He was ninety when he died. They were together for fifty years. She mourned deeply when he died, was only sixty-seven years, and was a beautiful lady, inside and out. Most of us expected that, after some time, she would remarry. She didn’t She said fifty years married to the love-of-her life was enough for one lifetime. She lived to be ninety-six years. I don’t think she ever, during those twenty-nine years, she ever so much as went out on a date. What’s interesting is we, their grandchildren, didn’t even realise. They were our grandparents and they were wonderful. Oh, my grandfather worked (part-time) until her was eighty-eight years. Not that it matters, but he was an especially-beautiful looking man.

PS. It was during a horrible time in Germany. For German Jews. His role was to get her out to England. I may not have been told everything, and they may have “sugar coated” it for their grandchildren, but it wasn’t expected that she stay with him once settled in safety. Obviously, it was what they wanted. I saw how they lived, and it was clear they had an uncommon marriage.

Hair does make a difference. I am going to be 60 in a few months. I used to have a full beard and mustache an bushy side burns all grey/white. In my mid 50's stores gave me a senior citizen discount without even asking for I.D. Recently I changed jobs and they ban facial hair so I shaved off my beard and mustache and trimmed my sideburns really short and I've also recently lost some weight and now I don't get my automatic senior citizen discount any more. That and not long after a woman in her 30's began flirting with me and only stopped when I told her my age. She thought I was in my early 40's. So yes, facial hair can make a HUGE difference. So with beard and mustache I look like I'm pushing 70 and clean shaven I look under 50. I'd had a beard most of my life and had I known I'd have shaved decades ago.

I think things can be different, you can be your complete self around them. I've had more than one and only 1 of them felt like my best friend as well. And I've been with my true love/best friend for 5 years now and it still feels new. It just depends on who your with. My first true love was not a good one.
