In the Ruthlessness animatic, Poseidon appears as a horse because he is god of horses. It is not fully because of the TROY saga, it's just some nice flare.

Fun fact; Poseidon horse form isn’t just a callback to the Troy saga, he’s not just the good of the sea, but also the god of earthquakes and horses, eldritch horror horse Poseidon it’s the best Poseidon in my opinion.

Eurylochus was Odysseus’s brother-in-law. He’s married to Odysseus’s sister. He really is the brother he could never do without.

That Luck Runs Out animation portrays the storytelling so much better than the one everyone watches first, I hope it gets to be more popular

A fun detail about the part where Poseidon is drowning the ships is that there are 7 cries of "Captain!" and 4 lines of "Ruthlessness is mercy upon our-" making for 11 total lines in that segment And Poseidon destroys 11 of Odysseus' 12 ships :D

Oh the horse of Troy goes so deep. Since Poseidon was a god on the Troy side, then leaving a wooden horse just seemed like the Greeks wanted to appease Poseidon so they could go home safely. It’s so devious. It was great.

11:48 It only hit me recently that the final lines of 'My Goodbye' are a callback to 'Warrior of the Mind', because the first time Athena sings "This is my goodbye" she ends in a run, like when she was singing alongside Oddyseus, but on the final "This is my goodbye", she ends it by holding the note like she did before having met Oddyseus; it's another way to represent her cutting him off 23:09 For Poseidon in this animatic, the animator took inspiration from the fact that he was both the god of the ocean, AND a god of horses, and they also took inspiration from Mandela Catelog with the creepy eyes and teeth when he was wrecking all the ships 31:50 Red Bandana Boi, lmao

Thoughts as we go. My Goodbye: it's an interesting take but it's overly aggressive in my opinion, the concept is great it's just a bit much. I do really love it showing Odysseus as the one to walk away while Athena is the one trying to guilt him into coming back. Not my animatic Ruthlessness: I Love the brutality of this version, you really feel like Odysseus is getting beat to hell, I really like the Portrayal of Poseidon here with the control of water and playing with god of horses idea. He is Odyssus's mirror image. But I don't thing the crew's drowning hit's quite as hard in this one and the "All I gotta do is open this bag!" Comes off a bit too comical in this version. Still I think I prefer this one. Luck Runs Out: This is my first time seeing this Animatic and It is phenomenal! It hits on so many things other's just miss and keeps a good balance with the seriousness of the discussing and Odysseus's confident cockiness. And a big inclusion is seeing the crew reacting the the discussion which s an important element that's missing in the other versions I've seen. This is probably my new favorite for this song. Puppeteer: Yeah not a big fan of the style but the strings representing Circe's Magic and influence is a cool idea and it's done really well here. Not my favorite but still pretty good. (Note: Eurylochus, the second in command doesn't seem to have his own instrument but a lot of the fans think his "Instrument" is the voices of the crew, which is why even though Eurylochus is not a god he always seems to have other singers back him up.)

This was awesome! We've been under a bunch of tornado warnings and watches too. We had 3 in 3 straight days when our area usually has none - definitely stay safe!

I don’t know if I mentioned this in a previous video, but the allusion to Dive to the Heart is not only intended by the animator, it is intended by Jorge as he pointed out in the video where he talks about how much of the creative decisions were inspired by media and in particular video games!

I wanted Suno to see mircsy's Athena in Warrior of the Mind, this is fine, the only negative comment I've seen is that she's too human. Everyone seems to forget that Poseidon is not just the god of the sea, but of horses and earthquakes. Another reactor brought up the Trojan horse and it's believable since the song and animatic is about Poseidon toying with and mocking Odysseus, good on the editor for catching the baby. "I am your darkest moment." "Remember me." Luck runs out

Another creator called Tamatama dropped a really cool and polished video on Ruthlessness a couple days ago Really recommend it

During ruthlessness i like the fact during the line "the line between naivety and hopefulness is almost invisible." Odysseus features fade showing that Poseidon sees him just like any other mortal, as unworthy of his attention and time.

I love the line from Poseidon, "Yes the pack of wolves are swimming with the shark now." It's the perfect encapsulation of their situation. Yeah, they're extremely skilled and deadly, but they are officially so far out of their depth in this situation that they need a miracle in order to make it out alive.

Definitely would recommend luck runs out by fourpc_ mainly because its a dnd animatic that feel fitting also since hey using the song in a different context style

I’ve listened to ruthlessness for about a month ish now. And I just now realized the crew is yelling out “captain” as Poseidon divine energy just drowns out their cries. Dang I didn’t see it till you kinda pointed it out

One thing I love about ruthlessness is how Poseidon literally tells him to apologize then Odysseus never once says he’s sorry or apologizes and instead lists excuses for their actions

okay final comment i promise but for puppeteer it is pretty much implied that Eurylochus was the one to open the bag and thats what he wanted to confess. i dont think it has actually been confirmed but it makes a lot of sense

I’ve said it once somewhere else, and it still bugs me: Why aren’t the Laestrygonians/Giants doing anything in the animatics, or rather WHY AREN’T THEY THERE? Not exactly a complaint (I’m kinda complaining) but yeah. GIANTS
