For my second feature of DS Sunday this week, I bring you the debut EP from New York-based fantasy synth project, Bardic Whispers - Echoes Across the Chasm.
Released under the Realm and Ritual Demo Series banner, the run of 30 hand-dubbed tapes sold out instantly when they dropped this week, and a well-deserved reception it was.
The perilous journey of the protagonist of this album portrays their passage and characterful adventures through six tracks of ethereal melodies, minimalist melancholy and wistful longing, accompanied and punctuated by introspectively bombastic percussion and fanfare.
