The simple answer is yes its definitely worth stripping for bare bright but not worth stripping on some occasions depending on the cable in question.......I got a pretty decent cable stripper, paid $976 for it over a year n a half ago and easily paid for itself 30× over.

I have the same wire stripper, I don’t recommend using it on thick rubber insulation stuff. Definitely pays for itself.
