We can always count on you Bethany! You are one of the first people on KZfaq that I started to watch. Your projects are what got me hooked! Just a couple of tips for anyone who needs them. I live in the Midwest. We get snow here in my area. If you do the adorable reindeer project be sure to seal it with Helmsman Spar Urethane. Get the water based so it doesn’t yellow your project over time. This will protect the wood from the weather much better than anything else IMO. Also if you are using fairy lights outdoors be sure to protect the battery pack just as you would connections on your outdoor lights. If you make the outdoor presents I would be sure to use them on a covered porch. Even then if you get snow I would make sure that water isn’t sitting in the bottom of the basket. I myself can’t wait to make some of these projects. 🤞🏻 Fingers crossed and with a prayer, hopefully I can find what I need form DT. That’s ALWAYS the hardest part. When I can’t find what I need or items I can substitute to make the projects I want to do I always make notes and list so I can create it the next year and get everything I need early. 😊

My husband kept peaking over my shoulder asking, “what is she making now? Are we gonna make that?” LOL

I like the matter-of-fact presentation and practicality of these. They’re not so complex that beginners would be intimidated, they offer either an end result or a starting place for people to add their own touches, and they show that you can come back and tweak it if it doesn’t come out the way you want. Also, the smooth ornaments were shape a LOT like sleigh bells and I think you could just paint a dot with a line at the bottom and boom, sleigh bells. Maybe paint it gold or silver, but red works too. One thing that made me laugh though... the elf on the candy cane kinda looed like what Santa does to elves who displease him and I’m actually tempted to make some for a Goth display.

Absolutely LOVE the reindeer family!

The deer were my fav. The best idea for diy gift box decor is using cooling racks, creating a box form and attaching with zip ties and wrapping in mesh, it works better than the plastic bin things but I think itd also cost a few dollars more. I like the simplicity of the candy cane decor as well. You have a lot of cute ideas!

I did the ornaments with Toni at "Your house a Home TV" last year. I have them hanging in my picture window and I always get compliments on them. The gifts were made from the smaller see through colored or clear containers. They work perfect for gifts!!!!!

Love your inexpensive garland! You can also use PVC pipe instead of the wire & pool noodles - especially if you live where it’s windy as it’s more sturdy and inexpensive. Love your big candy - I got frisbees from the toy section for my big candy to make a garland in my kitchen
