The Panthers have lost three straight games in this series after taking a 3-0 series lead.
Edmonton is trying to be just the second team to win a championship after being down 3-0 and first since the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1942.
Game 7 is Monday in Sunrise at 8 p.m. (ABC)

Edmonton took a 3-0 lead going into the third period with Sasha Barkov scoring early in the third.
Florida got no closer with the Oilers scoring two empty-net goals.
Barkov had a goal taken off the board in the second period due to an offside challenge.

Kraken fan here. Panthers fans should be proud of the fact that they have a team good enough to make the Stanley Cup Final two years in a row! Do we expect to see the Sharks, Blackhawks, Blue Jackets, Senators or Kraken accomplish that same feat any time soon? The Panthers are an outstanding hockey team. Give them some credit.

Very even series? Tkachuk is tripping man. Oilers have outplayed them every single game except 1, only reason the Cats are still in it is because of how Bob played games 1-3, got BLOWN OUT 8-1, no team has got beaten that bad all playoffs long let alone Florida all season long, they beat Tampa 9-2 earlier in the season and thats where they were on the other side of things.

What do you mean "outplay?" The Panthers were up in game 1 and 3 in which they settled to defense to protect the lead. That allow Edmonton to play more offense.

REALLY CHUCKY????...They have figured out Bobrofsky and completely shut down the Powerplay....They look faster and the Panthers look tired....You are ONE loss away from going down as historic CHOKE artist's........STILL Comfy Chucky? .

Panthers are at home and oilers have the momentum so I think it equals out and the team that shows up and wants it more will be the team that wins. I think they should show some fire and desire to win the cup especially since it is the first cup but maybe they are told not to for the media but not just doesn’t seem authentic. We shouldn’t be surprised cause we all know how the media works smoke and mirrors. I just hope both teams come out ready to play and give it their all and let the best team win.

my observation that sticks out to the FLA D, stop forcing shots/passes where the EDM forwards can pick off the point to point pass, that one facet has been killing FLA and setting up those oddman rushes and breakaways. FLA might also consider a 1-2-2 forecheck to throw off the oilers, that would help cutoff the fastbreak passes. That will help cut down on the goals allowed, but FLA is allowing way too many 20ft shots down the slot per game, that has been killing them.

What was almost one of the most embarrassing SCF's, turns into one of the greatest. Pulling for EDM myself, but I have always been a huge fan of Maurice, and if FLA wins tomorrow night, a part of me will be happy for the guy. Have come to like Tkachuk a little more off the ice, and Barkov has always been a beautiy. Whoever wins tomorrow night, in all honesty, it feels like "both" teams deserve the cup. There can be only one winner though, and whoever is runner up, should hold their heads high, no matter what "history" is made. FLA steam rolled their way to the finals, and are in great shape for the foreseeable future. EDM, not quite as smooth of a ride to the finals, but equally good foreseeable future. As I said to Dallas fans last round, same to Florida fans. "Most" of you, have been great to interact with. It's nice to have classy people to chat with on the opposite side, who understand one crucial detail, it's okay to compliment your opponent. Best of luck for a good showing tomorrow night, but I am pulling for the orange and blue. 😅 It's gonna be a burner down in Sunrise. 🍻👋

I think the Cats win it tonight and avoid the historical collapse. That said, the Oilers and Knoblauch have exposed this Panthers team style. The north south game actually obliterates the Panthers forcheck if you have the speed. The Oilers have the speed and the adjustment in games 4-6 have been very noticeable and telling. This team better win tonight because I do not think they make a deep run next year unless they add some more speed. The Oilers finally figured them out and other teams will as well now.

Here’s why the Panthers are currently stuck... they don’t have the speed at neutral ice to stop breakaways & odd man rushes. Oilers now play along the boards until the puck is at center ice then they dump it in the middle of the ice & the race is on. If an Oiler gets there 1st with speed it’s an odd man rush or breakaway every time. This even works for Zach Hyman the slowest winger on the team. I’ve never seen Zach score a breakaway goal or even have a breakaway chance!! He’s never picked to shoot during shoot outs in reg season. If Hyman can swoop in from center ice & score everyone on the Oilers are a threat to get a breakaway goal.

@@Silenceaverted IDK... he skates like he’s moving thru mud. Point is... he’s slow. He never gets breakaways all the way to the net. He never participates in shoot outs. He’s solely used as a rebound/tip in scorer... unless he’s playing FL apparently. Then all of a sudden he’s Connor McDavid!! 😀

It's just that Panthers need to stop making mistakes in the neutral zone in the first place. First goal came from Verheage garbage pass to Barkovs feet that resulted in turnover and a goal and second goal Panthers D went to change at a bad moment which resulted again in turnover and a goal. 3rd goal Forsling shot Bouchard legs rather than putting it safely into zone which resulted in a breakaway again and a goal.

@@HPxG323 Just saying as an Oilers fan I’ve never seen them play this way... this 80% of the time keeping the puck on the boards. They made this adjustment in Game 4 & FL coach still hasn’t made an adjustment to this. Normally they want all their play in the middle of the ice. Typical Oiler hockey is trade rush attempts with teams thinking they’ll eventually out score you. Oilers winning or losing 7-5 is a common score. But that didn’t work this time because Bob is better at stopping breakaways than Skinner. FL should counter by keeping everything in the middle of the ice & trade fast breaks. Skinner is awful against fast rushes. Give Bob a chance to out duel Skinner in a fast paced back & forth game. FL should try to win 7-5... not 3-1.

in all honesty its kind of a lie to yourself if you say its totally even. its certainly not. one team is getting better every game. these boys need some confidence and that is only going to come from smart coaching adjustments which can give these guys the confidence that they have the tools and gameplan to win it. from what pomo is saying, it doesn't seem like many tactful adjustments have been made. these guys are hesitant to leave it all out there because Edmonton is capitalizing on every small mistake, and seems like being outcoached. which sucks to say as a huge paul maurice fan

This team was capable of shutting down 97 and 29 for the first three games. They’re capable of it again. Edmonton’s defence is one of the worst in the whole playoffs. I can see Nurse or Ceci having a terrible night and Reinhart, Tkachuk, Verhaughe finding the back of the net. Oilers fans might regret celebrating before the cup is won.

Now there’s class. I’ve watch all six games and the announcers and all the media have been pro Oilers the whole time. I thought they were supposed to be non-biased. Got to the point where I shut off the audio of the ESPN feed and tuned into the Panthers feed. And, yes…the whole season comes down to 1 game. Pure poetry! Both amazing teams, both have proven they’re equals…. The whole season down to 60 minutes! So stoked! I’m by heart a Blackhawk’s fan, love Conner McDavid since I first saw him play at 16. Love the Panther’s team play… going to be a knuckle biter! We’ll see who the hockey gods bless… skate on!

I don't have a dog in the fight, but having watched the rat antics of guys like Tkachuk, Bennett, Cousins, Montour, Lomberg & previously Gudas I can't say I'm partial to Florida. The Oilers have been the better team in 4 of the 6 games & without 'Bob' in games 1 & 3 the series could have already been over. Now, with 1 game, who knows. That's why they actually play the games.
