The Baron was barely in both films, but he was still one of the most intimidating villains in recent cinema. Bravo to the sound designers on his Anti-Gravity devices and to Stellan Skarsgard for a phenomenal performance.

Stellan is one of the rare actors who was more than okay with Denis cutting some of his scenes. He stated in numerous interviews that the Baron would become less and less intimidating if he were constantly being showed. It’s like Robert De Niro’s Al Capone in The Untouchables. If he’s in every other scene, he loses his power.

What is the thing attached to the baron when he is flying so that like an IV he didn’t have it in the last film is he slowly dying of his injuries from the poison tooth

He had an std that makes him gain wait no matter what he eats and disables him to the extend he needs to “float” like he does to support his weight. I’m guessing the that is attached to him is to help keep him alive, healthy enough to carry on. Cutting it away makes him weaker and the weight of his body starts to crush him. So far I can’t find any other explanation

nah, this youtuber just created it by hiring the actor, Dennis Villeneuve, the camera and visual teams for Dune as well as Hans Zimmer. he really went the extra mile it seems

Loved his portrayal of the Baron !! My only complaint was the lack of weight. I visioned him really obese, & his death was a bit underwhelming.. amazing actor nonetheless.
