This is the second part of my lecture on Baroque art, which focuses on Baroque sculpture and architecture before closing with a brief introduction to Rococo art. The primary focus is on Bernini's work as a sculptor and architect, including his sculptures of David, the Ecstasy of St. Teresa, and St. Peter's Square.
Rococo, or "Late Baroque," art went further in challenging Renaissance conventions of symmetry and restraint, taking "extra" to new heights.

In school we had to study Saint Theresa and other mystics in Spanish Literature class. We used to joke that she was just having sexy times and calling it ecstasy. Louis XIV's statue is actually just next to the Louvre Pyramid.

Sorry to inform you but probably you've never heared of naghsh-jahan square which includes shah mosque, Sheikh Lotf Allah Mosque and ali qapu all in one ;)...and I'm glad I've studied at the Isfahan University of art which is part of the site and located just next to these heritages, precisely behind ali qapu.
