Juneau, Alaska: Seaplane Excursion, 5 Glacier Flyover Tour, Taku Glacier Lodge Feast | Alaska Cruise

Seaplane. Glaciers. Salmon feast.
Our next stop was Juneau, the capital of Alaska. We hopped on a seaplane that flew over 5 different glaciers: Norris glacier, East and West Twin Glaciers, the famous 5-mile-wide Taku Glacier and the Hole-In-The-Wall Glacier.
The views were incredible and the ride was exhilarating! We got dropped off at the Taku Glacier Lodge to eat a hearty salmon feast. Madison also had a blast playing with the 3 labs on the property (inspiration for our new fur baby, Harper…). This place was so peaceful and we really loved our time here! We highly recommend the "Taku Lodge Feast & 5-Glacier Seaplane Discovery" with Wings Airways, shore excursion!

I know I'm late to comment, but thanks for the memories! We did that same excursion in 2017. There were no dogs, but there were 4 black bears hanging around the lodge. A Grandma, a Mom and two cubs.

We just got back from Alaska and loved it! We had some foggy days. Great footage , wish I had seen y’all’s video before we went. Next time I wanna do plane or helicopter

Hello Juneau, ALASKA! Beautiful, mountainous Icy place! It feels like I was there too, looking at the Glacier! Really! Speechless!!! Oh I like the red plane for me please! How was the coleslaw???(my favorite side dish). Ooooh,,, is that how you got Harper? 🤔 Because of those LABs in Juneau??? Harper is so adorable by the way. Wow! We are doing our first Alaska cruise this summer and going to the same ports. This Excursion looks amazing! What a great Lodge and home cooked meal. Loved the opening with your little girl on the balcony brought back memories. New subscribers and supporters of your channel looks like you have many videos we will watch. We are still trying to figure this out I met a couple great channels last night and gained 7 subscribers went to bed feeling accomplished then woke up and lost 7 subscribers just don't get it but still just need to have fun! Really did enjoy your video waiting for Ron to get home and show him. I always find a few Gems that we want to watch together. This is our first trip to Alaska we want to enjoy the boat and the ports and wasn't on the excursions but you really tempted us. We have done a few helicopter tours in Hawaii so we may need to add this one. Loved your filming, editing and you were entertaining. Looking forward to more.

Awww thank you so much! Our growth is slow too! We started out by just making vacation videos for our daughter to see in the future and then we realized we could provide travel/cruise tips to others along the way! Hi great video like always . I have a few questions please: You booked this through the cruise line? How much was it for each adults? How long the whole tour lasted?

Hi! Thank you! We booked this one through Carnival, but you can definitely book it directly through the company Wings Airways as I’m sure it’ll be cheaper. Carnival was $460 per adult and our daughter was free. The whole tour was probably around 3-4 hours.

I just saw this and we’re thinking about doing the same excursion with our toddler now! How loud was it on the plane? My little one is terrible about keeping headphones on!

It was really loud! It is a really cool excursion and your toddler will be free, so that’s a bonus! Our daughter was napping going, but on the way back she kept the headphones on.

It was $106 for us 2 adults. For a normal ski lift we understand the price, but this ride only takes you up to one viewpoint lol. We bought tickets when we arrived, but you can buy through the cruise line. Check and see how much they’re charging since excursions booked through them are usually more.

Thanks I went online it appears that they aren’t taking reservations during the month of October but I will try calling them, I will also try for a helicopter tour but i would prefer the seaplane because I took helicopter lessons years ago and have never been on a seaplane, your daughter is a little pumpkin 🎃.😀 safe travels thanks 🙏🏽 for the info

We definitely recommend a seaplane! Awesome experience. This specific excursion would be cheaper if you book directly through the company, “Wings Airways.”

Doing this excursion during our cruise on Princess. What time of year did you go? We will be cruising the end of April to 10th of May. Wondering if we will see more snow than greenery.

That was in July! Rain is a hit or miss all summer so just cross your fingers and hope for good weather!! 🤞🏼🙏🏻

@@barrettosontheloose I get it. I was there way back in 1991 in August and we didnt see the sun until the day before we went home. It was dreary but fortunately the helicopter flight or the float plane didn't get cancelled. I did different float plane trip back then. Just went into the mountains and landed on a lake then back up and landed on another lake before we had lunch. Looking forward to seeing the glaciers this time. Awesome video you did!!
