This makes the show look a lot like the comic best friendship. Oliver almost never smiles but with his Best friend, he does. Only difference, it the comics the best friends trio was with Green Lantern too.

Very true. I appreciate all the hard work they went through for us. Didn’t Stephen & Melissa even fall asleep during filming? The writers really needed to do better balancing everything out someway somehow though. So much screen time got wasted on unnecessary episodes & scenes. I had this idea of Barry dying on the treadmill while the reverse flash fights & kills E90 Barry. And then as the Spectre Oliver goes back to when Barry got struck by lightning and pulled his reborn speedforce spirit from the bolt as a callback to Barry being the lighting that struck him in the comics. Then the two talk on the rooftop from the Flash Pilot as the most powerful versions of themselves. Oliver the embodiment of vengeance, Barry the embodiment of Speed. And Laurel as the Radiant, the spirit of Mercy could’ve gone to rescue Sara from the vanishing point giving them a chance to reunite. She would’ve fit better as the one teaching Oliver in purgatory instead of Jim Corrigan too. Plus it’d explain why she couldn’t be resurrected or merged with E2 Laurel.
