Okay, so first, sorry this is so freaking late! I didn’t have any time until last weekend to start it (and barely any time this week either T_T) but I still really wanted to finish it so I just decided I didn’t care if it would be late, I would make it anyway. And I decided to throw in a tiny bit of 2x02 (emphasis on tiny, lol), I finally managed to watch it yesterday.
Second, you might notice from a “scene” that I sort of manipped together, the kinds of the things I felt were missing from the premiere and why I was honestly pretty disappointed with it. I just felt like there was a bit of a disconnect from the finale, emotionally, with having the time jump and then only three minutes of flashback to wrap things up as quickly as possible. Sure, Barry was depressed and detached from everyone 6 months later, but what about the immediate aftermath? What about the emotional repercussions for Iris and Caitlin? Iris staring at a picture of Eddie at the station for 2 seconds and one or two lines from Caitlin about her regret just didn’t do it for me, and I felt like the deaths could have been dealt with in a more impactful way. (although I’m still holding out for Ronnie not being really dead…)
Anyway, a few days ago I reached 300 subs!!! Thank you all so much!! I can’t even describe how much I’ve come to love making these, and all of you make it that much more worth it :)
But I need to let you all know that I’m going to take a break from vidding - not that I’ve been uploading all that frequently anyway, but I guess I want to make it official, at least for my sake. Because lately when I decide to make a video it inevitably eats up the time I would spend watching tv and other people’s videos (and some sleep), and I just can’t do without those things (especially the sleep…). So if I do make another video any time soon, it will be more because of a lapse in judgement than anything else.
Whenever my next video does come, it’ll most likely be Westallen or Captain Swan. Westallen because I find them easiest to vid, and I have some songs in mind (haven’t done a lyrical song with them in forever!). And maybe Captain Swan because I’m so incredibly obsessed with them right now that I’m scaring myself, lol! And I love the fact that I’m talking about my next video just after I say I’m taking a break. Clearly this is gonna work…
