For Kirstie, they released a new song this year Please Santa Please where she takes the lead. The behind the scenes is worth watching also. O Come All Ye Faithful is definitely my favorite by PTX, but their releases this year are killing it.

In my opinion, this song is about as gospel as Pentatonix has ever been. They took a traditional Christmas carol and turned it into an Afro-Carribbean dance party! Kevin is the primary arranger on this one, honouring the natural rhythms of his heritage. Such a spectacular arragement that focuses on the joy and celebration as the faithful are invited to join together. What could be more gospel than that? Thanks for sharing this special PTX oldie with us. 🥰

Excellent reaction, guys. Pentatonix owns Christmas music. It's impossible to pick a bad one. If you want more Kirstie, check out Please Santa Please. Its new this year. It was written by Kirstie and Kevin and its all Kirstie.My personal favorite is Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies. They won their 2nd Grammy for that one. An instrumental with no lyrics sung by a group with no instruments!!! And won a Grammy!!!. Only Pentatonix.

Adding a lively, celebratory African twist on what's normally a solemn hymn is probably the cleverest arrangement I've ever heard. I don't think there's a better version of this song out there, and I know I can't ever listen to another one going forward. I've heard versions with multiple pianos, orchestras utilizing a prominent brass section to liven it up a bit, but it took an acapella group with no musical instruments to arrange the best version ever, and this was done AFTER arrangements that made them famous, like Hallelujah, Mary Did You Know, Carol of the Bells, Little Drummer Boy, etc. Talk about setting the bar.... This is the version. There's just no comparison anywhere else.

Kirstie truly owns Say Something. It is the only PTX song I'm aware of where Mitch does not get a single lead line -- no chance of people mixing up their voices. A special role for Avi too. I would also recommend Amazing Grace as her section is so powerful. 🙂

I bet you never thought you would bop to Oh Come All Ye Faithful. This song was joyous as it should be. The Choir was a cherry on top. Trust your fans! They just released a live version of O Holy Night that is amazing! Hark! The Herald Angels Sing is wonderful too. Carol of The Bells is an oldie but goodie. They have an original that was recently released and Kirstie has the lead, Please Santa Please is hard to sit still too.

I get strong Lion King vibes from this rendition. I’ve heard this many times and even have all of their Christmas CD’s. Yes I still collect CDs!! There’s a great band called Straight No Chaser who do a gorgeous version of Mary Did You Know in a church. You would REALLY like the video of this one. Odd. I see it where it usually is -- on thecleft of tne row under their channel name. Followed by -Share, Remix, etc. Much harder to see if you watch it full screen because then it's one of those disappearing toolbars that can be hard to hit precisely. 🙂

Will you all stop saying that Kirstie gets overlooked. She gets the same shine as everyone else in the group. You all say that because she is the only female in the group. Kirstie has songs that she lead and songs that she do more backup. Same as Scott and Mitch. So please stop with this notion that she gets overlooked. Maybe look at more PTX videos and you will see that she doesn't

My sense of the comment he made about Kirstie being overlooked is that many reactors don't seem to comment on her skills and contributions the way they do about the others. I do agree that it is all five of them that make their work so special no matter who is taking a lead. 🙂
