Idk about you guys but my favorite thing to listen to is KFC bitching about KZfaq live streams like it’s some big mystery that nobody can figure out. The Yak has had the recipe for like 6 years since the Sirius days and shifted to KZfaq when Sirius ended to make it work because the fans love it so much. And believe it or not, no one on he yak complains about it as much as Kevin has this week.

Another day of KFC refusing to just admit he doesn’t want to have to work inconvenient hours. Amazing yesterday when he said if he was a sales guy he would want higher commission, yet simultaneously refuses to do things after 3pm. Clearly no understanding that Dave wants another Sirius type deal.

We have to start questioning dave. This show sucks so bad its not worth saving yet hes “focused on making the best content”. How about fire everyone and find literally 3 people who are entertaining.

"appointment television" is when shows are scheduled and people make an effort to watch/listen to said shows while they are airing live or for the first time.. this albeit "old" way of doing things still has a significant benefits because there is a contingency of audience that *will* watch live and airing two popular shows at the same time is not the most optimal. Yes, a lot of people, like i am now, will watch the recording, but I will also try to watch/listen live. the consistency of a live show that's scheduled creates familiarity and loyalty with an audience. also not having overlap allows people to continue consuming the shows without interruption.. thus helping keep a live audience from abandoning. I guess what i am saying.. is that even tho Kevin keeps ranting about on-demand consumption there is still *a lot* of people (more than a couple hundred like he tried to say) that will watch live, and if it stays consistent and the content is better than this video.. it may just grow the live audience.

KFC doesn't want to work anymore. He wants the paycheck. A radio style line-up everyday so I'd know when shows are on could work well for the work headphone crowd. I think running over - is overrated. Yak runs over a lot because they aren't structured. they go off on rants and bits etc. They also could likely land some bigger sponsors if they ran it like a radio channel rather than separate YT entities. I know there are all these other shows but myself...like many are only subscribed to the main channel. I'm just not subscribing to 15 different channels for the same stuff...the main channel should host it all. This helps the casuals...the diehards will watch no matter what. More causals mean more $$$ - it just does - and EL PREZ knows this. --- I also think the one channel and run it like a TV station with high quality production could work big time. Barstool have all these producers and cameras and yet next to no structure.

Biggest miss that no one is bringing up is how are you trying to have live callers if they are all watching the yak. Even if you’re behind 10 minutes when the redirect would happen, you’re still 10 minutes behind the conversation.

The overlap is the problem. It makes it feel like the yak has to be shortened. It give’s anxiety. Yak boys riff at their own pace

genuine question, since barstool radio isn't actually on radio anymore why does it need to be live? they don't interact with the chat or anything on BR, but on the yak they constantly do more live event stuff and interact with fans

I work 10-8 every day. And on my way home, and walking my dog I love listening to barstool radio. I get home and switch to the video form.

kevin bitching about not wanting to work certain hours, and (to Pat) to cannibalize any part of a *live* viewing audience for his personal convenience is probably another reason he shouldn't host this show. using any numbers to from the past few days is probably not worth it anyway since once things are set and do not overlap often.. the audience will become accustomed to going from one show to the following show. i am certainly glad kevin was overruled on this one. his convenience isn't worth losing *any* live audience.. esp when there are plenty of other talent that can host a lunch hour show.

It’s very simple to set up the redirect. You have to set the redirect up before you end the program. At the end, after the redirect has already been set up, the redirect will automatically happen. Every program should redirect to another Barstool program no matter if it’s live or not. Just keep barstool on 24/7. It’s not hard.

I do not, and will not have Sirius. NO to Sirius in the future for Barstool.

Am I weird for agreeing with KFC? Like a very small % of people watch these shows live. The Yak has a devoted fanbase and Radio isn't going to take that away from them. Eventually there will be like 5 or 6 different brands wanting to do live shows so it is just a bad precedent to set that there can be no overlap now. Also felt Big Cat was being whiney and taking things personal. The Yak is a big show but lets not act like it is such a big asset that everyone else should work around it.

The KFC brand is terrible. He even said they can barely get ad buys. He’s trying to co-opt the Barstool brand name. In two months he’s gonna say there’s no reason to have KFC radio and Barstool radio. It will just become “Barstool Radio with KFC” and he hopes that will increase ad buys for his awful program.

Yak viewer here. Watch every episode, sometimes more than once. Favorite show whether it's KZfaq or tv. I never watch live cuz I have a day job. I've never had a single issue going back and watching episodes. I'll sometimes fall a full week behind and still don't have issues. I get it if you're a live chat pertain but to not acknowledge that you are in the minority is wild. It's fine if you disagree with Kevin but to act like he's outta line is insane. I'm much more of a big cat guy but let's be real and admit that big cat is the one that got upset and blew this way out of proportion without understanding it. I’m absolutely with KFC on this one…the lineup thing doesn’t make sense…most grown adults will watch the on demand when they can vs try to catch live. I’ll still watch every show, but I def prefer to watch when I can actually fit it in.
