Holy shit. I didn't realize Barstool had that big a role in the story. I had been skipping over this vid cause I thought it was just going to be a memorial and I wasn't feeling the mood to relive it. Great vid and the amazing story of Barstool just continues to grow in mind everyday.

I remember early that morning my mom really wanted to go in to Boston to stand at the finish line and watch the runners go by. She had never been before and really wanted us to all go together as a family. My dad, my brother and I weren’t feeling up to it, so we said we didn’t want to go. My mom was upset and said that she was going to go by herself. She left and myself, my dad and my brother stayed home. I remember watching it happen on TV and calling my mom thinking she was at the finish line where it happened. She ended up going shopping instead, and was standing in Target when I called her. Every time I watch the footage, I always think about what would’ve happened if we had decided to spend the day in Boston at the finish line together. It was a really crazy time for people around here especially with the manhunt and everything after.

I'm not American, not from Boston, but I have lived through 4 Wars and now in quarantine like so many, I empathize with this series of events and how visceral violence of this nature touches so many. But the human spirit is infinite and when channeled for good, we learn to be better humans, thank you Barstool Sports team for sharing this with us. Stay safe out there.

In tears when amazing grace with bagpipes came on. I just found out recently that my 7th Great Grandfather came on the ship Elizabeth on the 28th day of July 1707 in Boston. My 6th Great-grandfather and his son Samuel Trivett fought and died in the revolutionary War. His now widow wife and 2 sons moved south to where she remarried a man in NC. Boston got America started. I like to think that some of my family roots came from Boston. Always had a sense of pride for Boston Strong. Great piece!
