This is exactly what I expected, and, you're exactly right about why it isn't that much louder. The amplifiers clip. The first megaphone is pretty loud, but still coherent. the next megaphone is louder, but clipped.(saturation distortion) After that, the rest are just a square wave, at the fundamental frequency of your voice. The first 2 megaphones are loud, the rest of the 8, are maybe half again louder, than the first two. As for breaking the wine glass, the only way that would happen, is if the resonant frequency of the wine glass matched the resonant frequency of the horn. Otherwise, there just isn't enough amplifier power, to do it. you would have better luck, finding the right note on a trumpet, that matches the resonant frequency of the glass, even though, the amplifier in a megaphone is ~10 watts, and a person can barely blow more than 1/2 watt into a brass instrument, breaking glasses is all about resonance.

a megaphone speaker can only get to a certain level, lets say 90db, so having another megap emitting a 90db in he microphone its still gonna come out the second one as 90db its not going to magically make it louder. isn't this common sense?

so you have stumbled on the basics of guitar amp distortion, there is a decibel limit to any circuit, speaker and pickup (think of a microphone that picks up metal vibrating instead of air). As you increase the gain, or volume before the final power amp you compress the electrical signal that is converted to sound in the vibration of the speakers, you reach a point eventually where what are known as harmonic frequencies are as loud as the main frequencies of the sound. many amps have multiple gain stages to increase this effect by pushing each stage till it begins compressing or clipping, then moving that distorted signal at a high volume that increases the signal gain to the point of clipping again, until finally to the power amplification section, which can also be pushed to the point of distorting, which also is pushing the speakers to the point of distorting due to the limits of the oscillation. this works differently in diode and tube circuits, in diodes it just hard limits the higher frequencies, or clips them in a harsh, buzzy, grindy, cold sound, where in tube amps it compresses the signal to make a more smooth rich warm sound.

As an electrical engineer, I have to say that if one megaphone was capable of amplifying another it would be a clear indication that some components were heavily overspecified. You want everything at the limit of amplification with acceptable distortion. Anything beyond that is wasted expense.

The reason it doesn't get much louder is because the electronics in each megaphone compresses the sound and levels out the input from the microphone. That's why you can whisper into it and it's still amplified by the speaker. Conversely, loud shouting doesn't increase the volume much because that's brought to the same relative level or decibel range as the whisper. The same 144 year-old technology is used in traditional telephone receivers in order to amplify the sound. That's also what gives it its "squashed" megaphone sound. So since each megaphone is compressing the sound, when you talk into one and have that go to the next it's only going to compress the volume and output whatever maximum it's set to and so on and so forth. Each megaphone is going to physically block the sound somewhat. Any increase in volume is going to be from the sound bleeding from each megaphone, but the increase will be by diminishing results, not multiplicative.

It's not just the limitations of it's amplifying ability but more so the limitations of it's microphone. It's built w/ the sensitivity to handle a voice level input. At a certain point you're overwhelming it's ability to make meaningful sense of the signal, overloading the gain stage & causing distorting. Plus the amplified noise becomes so loud that it feeds back into it's own mic & you get...feedback.
