Affording groceries is getting more and more out of reach! Now is not the time to sit on the sidelines. The Lord protects and provides but you must listen to His still small voice and do your part. Learn to grow, preserve and barter. Our way of life is fading much quicker than we realize.

That plate you had the burrito, that pattern was the plates I got when I got married in 1979!Praying for you and your family. My new little miracle grandbaby had a procedure yesterday to cut a skin tie in her mouth. She cried, my daughter cried, but the baby is better today. What would we do without prayers and Jesus!

I goofed and ended up with 34 tomato plants this year. Just pulled garlic, planted more green beans in that spot, and had 3 extra winter squash plants grow from compost! Canner will be busy, in fact, I just had a bag of onions start to go bad. They're now in quart jars as broth to cook with. Many prayers and blessings for you all. ❤❤

We had a storm that came and destroyed our pool. We have been too busy to use it. I said ok Lord, I guess you’re telling me something. And Thankfully we were able to return the pool chemicals we hadn’t opened. We donated that money to someone with a very low income, and now have a spot to put some chickens. Glad my priorities have changed 😎 Still working on husband to understand, he’s coming along. He’s actually helping build me a greenhouse. Something he would have never done in his lifetime.

For all those filling freezers, be sure you have enough canning jars to save your meat in a grid down emergency. I had one freezer go down last year and ended up canning 60 pints of ground meat. We were able to consolidate the other freezers to hold the rest of our meat. It takes LOTS of jars just an FYI.

If you buy regular (not microwave) popcorn, you can plant them. Any kind of corn has to be planted like 100-150 feet (can't remember) away from any other type of corn. I have 3 different types of popcorn and 3 different types of corn. I have blue hopi corn (which I think is what they call a flour corn), hickory king (a dent corn for corn meal and animals) and a sweet bantam corn for eating. All of them can be eaten but won't taste as sweet. For popcorn, I have a bag of yellow kernels (regular) from the store, and a strawberry and a multi colored type. I didn't get much planted this year as to many health issues. I go next week for a neck Doppler scan (ultrasound).

We don't really barter with our neighbors, but we do "share". We helped them pick oranges last weekend and took home about a hundred. We share our tomatoes and other produce with them for their citrus. I actually think we come out "ahead" but I have heard no complaints from them. 😀❤

Even with double fencing around our garden---the cottontails who live in our neighborhood have chewed every single green bean plant down to the stalks! I am so mad I could spit. I think we must create a Raised planter area for the beans. I am doing as much prep as possible, and have for several years---but unlike you, I don't have a true partner in this. He still thinks everything is "just fine". (EYE ROLL)

Get yourself some blood meal and sprinkle it on your plants and around your plants! Herbivores don't like the smell of taste of blood, and it's a good nitrogen source for your plants! Just an old master gardening trick!😎🇺🇸

It's all relative. I'm old and have been poor to the point of selling blood and plasma to survive in the early 1980's. Today things are expensive and that's a fact. In the big picture of world economics the U.S. is still in a good position. Anyone who remembers the wage and price freezes under Nixon or worse yet the economy under Carter will realize it's not as bad now as some make it seem.And being poor way back taught me a lot. I retired 2 years ago at 61. Se financially for several lifetimes now.Won't take SSI till I'm 67 (if it's still available).

I love riding bikes, but I don’t have an electric one. I haven’t pulled the trigger yet on that one. Michigan is wet and hot too. We had a storm last night and all the plants got a nice drink of water. I’m afraid that’s one thing they won’t allow…no property taxes. I fear that is the way they will drive us out of our homes….if we let them! I’m getting tired of watching them hurt people, and I’m one step away from them bothering me!

I went out Tuesday and took some cuttings from my current tomato plants to root into fresh potting soil for my fall garden. I have an invasion of what looks like potato bugs all over my tomato plants and they are destroying everything. I have no idea what they actually are but they are winning. 😢 I put up a 60% shade cloth last Sunday, so I’m hopeful that once I pull out my current tomato plants, I can replant my cuttings and the shade cloth will help them make it to fall. Have you ever done cuttings for your fall tomatoes? How did it work out?

You really need to BE CAREFUL because you are admitting to Illegal bartering! DON'T POST on your channel what you do. you could be in serious trouble. The IRS treats goods and services gained as taxable income. You better check your records because I do believe in Texas it is first degree felony and is punished by imprisonment. IRS 1040 must be summited. For the IRS "Barter Dollars" are treated precisely the same as cash payment.
@TShirtAndReeboks
@TShirtAndReeboks 2 ай бұрын
But if she is giving something worth a certain amount and receiving something worth the same amount then no increase in value happened. That's different from bartering a car for a dozen cookies, where the person who got the car gained thousands of dollars worth through bartering.
@trinade3732
@trinade3732 2 ай бұрын
@@TShirtAndReeboks Accept the IRS expects that transition to be noted on a 1099 form. Which means by their law, Barterers, must fill out a paper of agreement for the Exchange of goods. Check the records, in SOME cases IRS has deemed the barter exchange UNEQUAL. Simple form example: I agree to swap 4 boxes of tomatoes of $$$ value for 6 boxes of squash $$$ value. That's all I'm saying just check your laws or just zipp it . But my BIGGER MESSAGES is do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Certainly not on your KZfaq channel.
