We wanted to post a video reviewing both the Bartesian and the Drinkworks cocktail machine. We found that both offer great cocktails depending on what you are looking for in a drink. No matter which machine you decide to go with, both offers the convenience of a cocktail on demand in a matter of seconds. Drinkworks now available nationwide.

Glad I bought the bartesian! I like being able to select the "spirits" of my choosing. Just sad I bought this machine for get togethers but Covid put a stop to that. Great video.

I still think the Drinkworks would be it. No need to think about having alcohol on hand . It supposed to be about convenience. With the Bartesian, I have to make sure I have alcohol. With Drinkworks, I can invite friends over to swing by anytime . 🤷🏻‍♀️

Excellent review. Demonstrating the difference in function and taste was very helpful. To me, taste matters and having the option to select drink strength and specific brand liquors means the Bartesian gets my vote.

Literally a perfect demo and review. I just got the Bartesian last Weds and the pods on Saturday. I wound up making drinks Fri-Monday. Amazing. I have to stop myself from drinking throughout the week. That Strong Island is LETHAL, which is how they should be. I'm with you, sis! Thanks for doing this!

I am so glad I came across this video.. I was all set to buy the Bartesian and Drinkworks kept popping up...plus it looks hotter...lol. So I almost gave in to IT. But the bigger thing to me was being able to control what liquor is used. This video is great! It allowed me to see the comparisons side by side and make my decision. Bartesian at Bed Bath and Beyond it is... Thank you

Fantastic comparison!! I got this for my wife for Christmas coming up (came 2 weeks ago) dropped big bucks due to getting boxes of her favorite drinks and all the glassware and shaker. We are not beer drinkers but love our cocktails!! Man i hope she is happy with it. Will be a lot of work sending it back.

What a great frickin' video. Well done. I came here to learn about the difference between Bartesian vs Drinkworks since I have never heard of the Bartesian. I was less interested in your ability to identify which machine made which drink. I wanted to know which tasted better. By the time you made that clear, you made my mind up for me. BARTESIAN ALL THE WAY.

I think with the Bartesian, you’ll spend more money. The machine, itself, is expensive and then you have to buy the pods + the alcohol. With the drink works, it’s seems you’ll spend less money. The machine is cheaper and the pods come with the alcohol. It’s cools and carbonates drinks. Now I am debating if I want the freedom of choosing my own alcohol or not. Thanks for the review!! I am glad to find a video where the two are compared!

Really Excellent review and demonstration, I have been looking at the difference between the two. I must say you brought up the fact of the difference in the flavor of the drinks and the option of buying your own favorite spirits for the machine. The only issue I see is carboning some of your guests' favorite spirits. 😁👍

The drinkworks is perfect for the occasional drinker you wanna get tipsy and want it to taste good simple not too picky 👍🏽 The Bartesion is more for like a professional drinker that is familiar with liquors and it matters to them the brand they drink and the strength control of also 👍🏽 What I like about both machines is that I don’t have big liquor bottles across the counter looking like I need to go to AA meetings 😂 the satisfaction of it all

Also, with the Kuerig, you don’t need to have alcohol on hand. Just a pod. If I have to use my own alcohol, I might as well make my own drink without a machine

Everyone has lazy days, or parties where you dont need everyone messing up your kitchen trying to play bartender with your alcohol. The bartesian also offers consistency with drinks. Of course you can measure but for long islands and etc this is fast. Plus, you dont need to keep all the non alcoholic ingredients stocked. All you need is 5 liquors and a pod.

Plus the other advance to using your own alcohol is that you can choose the quality of the alcohol.. also in a lot of states you can't get the Keurig pods shipped to because they contain alcohol.

Great review. Keep in mind. It's harder to buy the Drinkworks pods due to alcohol content. Bartesian pods are available online and in stores. I only wish Bartesian had CO2.

Drinkworks now offers the purchase of pods directly from there website, which is a huge step up. Versus going through the 3rd parties!!

My dad thought about buying one and of course he came to me. The guy that enjoys quality drinks. I chose the bartesian for two big reasons. One of which you didn’t really cover but is actually really big. Having the choice of liquor is important. I like good strong whiskey and I can actually tell (unless I’m a few deep) what liquor is mixed. The freedom to make a perfectly mixed $35 Manhattan with no tip sells it for me. The other part is the “mock tale”. Almost everyone has at least one close friend or relative that doesn’t drink anymore. When in a party setting there’s a chance they will feel left out or peer pressured. Everyone can have a “bar drink” and “belong”. $400 for perfectly made manhattans everytime? My brother had a Long Island last night and I gave the bartesian an A. If you like it sweeter iced tea than just add a little more sugar and give it a shake. You two chose the perfect drink to compare and did an outstanding job of unbiasing the comparison. Thank you for taking the time. You deserve advertising revenue for the number of machines you just sold. 😂👍👍👍

Great video comparison! I had heard about the Drinkworks machine so I went online to do some research. Then I just sort of stumbled into seeing the Bartesian online. Which led me to your video. I'm kind of like you in that I like top shelf spirits and I love that you can pick your own spirits with the Bartesian. But I also like the fact that the Drinkworks probably has a larger menu because it can make the "fizzy/bubbly" drinks. But I've also seen that it's pretty hard to clean. I would love to hear your thoughts on which one you actually prefer and ended up using more as your go to machine. Thanks again for a great video!

Thanks for watching and commenting on our video. Currently, we find ourselves using the Bartesian more than the Drinkworks. Aside from the sampler pack we ordered from Drinkworks we haven’t had to order more pods yet for the Drinkworks. Which when looking into it, I’m finding that ordering Drinkworks pods isn’t as easy as with the Bartesian which sort of attributes to using the Bartesian more, due to the ease of reordering and staying stocked with your favorite capsules. It’s a little more involved when your trying to order actual alcohol through the mail or retailers due to alcohol regulations. Whereas because there is no alcohol in the actual pods for the Bartesian ordering is a lot simpler and available at places like amazon, Best Buy, Bed Bath Beyond etc due to no alcohol in the pods. They both have a large range of capsules to choose from and both seem to have more to come soon. For me it’s just which one makes my favorite cocktails the best 🤷🏽‍♀️. We all have our go to drinks. To be honest the Drinkworks failed on a couple of my favorites but did offer a couple other nice alternatives. Bartesian hands down has mastered my favorite cocktails. Can’t wait to try the mai tai and see if it takes me back to Hawaii. Now if that happens...It will be another win for the Bartesian.

Great video Thanks. The ability to buy my own alcohol won me over initially. Then the fact that no store within 100 miles carries the pods for the Drinkwork. I would need to get them delivered and in my state a adult must sign for the delivery of alcohol. To much hassle for a drink I can't control the amount of alcohol. I purchased the Bartesian. I don't know how anyone handles the long island on strong. The regular setting is a beast.

I like that the Drinkworks machine can also make bubbly drinks and cools the water. As far as the strength and type of alcohol, I would just buy some top shelf alcohol and add a shot to the drink made by the Drinkworks machine. Problem solved.

Thank!!! We haven't had any issues when it comes to purchasing the Bartesian capsules. We actually have a subscription with Bartesian where they came monthly, which you can pause at any times our issue is purchasing the Drinkworks capsules.

I'm like the husband I like my drinks light, but I would get the Bartesian because when friends and family comes by everyone can have the strength they want. In the long run I believe that will save money based on less pods being used to get whatever feeling someone is looking for.

I liked your video but wish you had discussed a bit about the cost differences between the two devices. Including whether or not the Bartesian is lower in overall costs because you can buy your own alcohol when on sale.

I like the Bartesian also, The ability to have your preferred choice of Spirits makes the drink to me. Also the Potency of the Drink is higher to me with the Bartesian. I had two Drinks One was regular and the other was strong and I felt it (LOL). Had to take an UBER toe bed from the basement.

This was great. I watched a different one on the Bartesian and although he said to put water in it, it sounded like it was just for the very first time you use the machine. From what you said, it sounds like water is always needed - for cleaning - but is it ever added to the drink? I would assume so if one has the chance to chose various strengths. Great job you two! Thank you

Yep…the mixers are really concentrated, so water is mixed with the mixers as well as used to rinse after each drink, so there is no mixing of the spirits or mixers into the next cocktail..which may be different. Water in the reservoirs always needed. But, we always put fresh water with each usage if a couple days later. I’m just like that. I don’t like using water that has been sitting as there is no filter with the Bartesian.

After using my Bartesian for several months, I must say, you have to tweak the cocktails. Add a bit of lemon, lime, or simple syrup. I've always been the mixologist for my get togethers b4 buying the Bartesian. The last get together I had, my sister said, she like my drinks better, & I must admit, so do I, if I don't add a little something to the Bartesian cocktails, they just taste BLAH Imo. But I must say, it's so much easier using the Bartesian, when you have a crowd full of ppl in your house. I usually make pitchers of margaritas &/or rum punch, when I'm doing it myself. With the Bartesian, every1 picks which cocktail they want. So, it's good to have a Bartesian on your home bar. On another note, ppl think they can just come to your house empty handed, when you have a Bartesian. Which shouldn't be the case, if you're coming to someone's house more than once in a while. 😃🤷🏾‍♀️

Very well-done video - I like that you did the blind taste test. But since the wife drinks, it would definitely be easy to tell the Bartesian simply because of the fact it's your alcohol choices. Still, informative video. I've had a Drinkworks for a year now (unfortunately on my THIRD model - had to return the first two to them failing, but never had an issue getting a new one as they covered the shipping costs, sent me a new one, then I'd use that same box to send back the broken unit). We definitely enjoy it for convenience of having everything in one pod. That said, we also just ordered a Bartesian because we like that we can use our choice of alcohol. I imagine the Bartesian will beat the Drinkworks on any non-carbonated cocktail. So our plan going forward is Bartesian for non-carbonated drinks, and then the Drinkworks only for carbonated drinks.

@@mindtrick1405 I really like both, but the Bartesian is what my wife and I mostly use - it does a much better job at more bar-quality flavor for non-carbonated drinks. Plus you use the liquor you want and set the strength. The Drinkworks is now relegated to carbonated drinks only (the Bartesian does a better job on all non-carbonated drinks than Drinkworks). But again, I enjoy having both since the Bartesian doesn't do carbonated drinks, which I like to have from time to time.

The drinkworks have a “TopShelf” option as well just to throw that out there! About $5 more

You two KILLED IT. Drinkworks got on my nerves and I started looking for their competition and it seems that you two helped me make my mind. It was informative and entertaining and funny so good job on that.

After buying the Bartesian, I wouldn't bother with the Drink works 🤣😭. The Bartesian appears to be so much better.🤣🤷🏾‍♀️
