DO NOT PUT ON WOODEN FOUNDATION

I'd say being able to move your palbox and having to destroy and rebuild are very different things. Having to rebuild and assign everyone is a big hassle

Another way to do roofs is to build a wall that would connect to the higher edge of the roof. Then when the roof piece is on you can remove the extra walls. You get the materials back. It's easier to attach the roofs to a wall this way than to find just the right spot on the side of a roof tile or angle wall.

heres the best base setup you can build! just make a huge square base with walls 3 or 4 high up wallls so big pals dont get stuck then slowly add flat roof tiles until the entire base is walled and has a ceiling then add a 2 column stairway I like to add 2 one on each side. this way you can build a bottom half of the base with a farm or with whatever u like then on the second floor/roof add more walls again and now you have a second floor for more production. you may also make a room or 2 on the bottom if you want a bedroom and a chest room where all your loot will go. also place chests at each production site where pals are working that way its all neatly organized at each workstation. this is the most optimal and stunning base you will ever build on this game. you can also add infinite floors for whatever you want and you can decorate the walls however you like aswell. I personally have a bedroom with a dresser with all my ammo and a secret room above it where I can store secret things if ever someone wants to join my world. also for a afk base you can add fires all around your whole base which raids will run into them and die.

big tip, put your pal box half way between 2 foundations, if you ever accidently destroy a foundation you don't just explode your base

I actually built my main right at the start to the right of the fast travel statue it forces any raid to run through a choke point and they pretty much get absolutely smashed when every pal sends some attack that direction

Was having a heck of a time with those roof pieces for a while. Still do. They’ll snap to the triangle wall, but they still don’t want to snap to each other or certain walls. Very finicky.

I just found out about the pal box being able to be placed on a foundation when I was building earlier 🙌🤙

I breaks a couple more things than just pal tab stuff when moving the pal box but yeah it does work

I learned that when you put a flat area and then you walk to the edge of that flat area and makes those diagonal pieces so much more easier it just automatically sets it in a place

A lot more can get destroyed then just the pal tab! Found out the hard way.

My biggest frustration right now is being able snap foundations at lower levels of terrain. For example if I attach stairs on a foundation going down a hill. The new foundation will not snap to the bottom of the stairs.

Roofs are better than stairs too. Every stair "block" needs to be touching foundation, or a vertical wall. Roofing doesn't. You can just build several rooves to make a tall staircasw without extra support

You could always just rotate the roof as well if it’s not in the position

I wish they add free look in build mode with addition of moving things around without demolishing them. It will make base building much easier.

If anyone finds a way to exactly go one floor down from the initial foundation placement, please let me know ! I tried placing stair going down and then roof platform but it doesnt work despite it snapping to the base of the stairs correctly.

I put my Palbox on my rooftop so I can better use the bottom floor for better decorations and stuff.

So its like vallheim building? Time to build some viking houses

Destroying the palbox will also destroy all lamps too for some reason

Kinda hard to get the foundation in the ground with xbox Controller.. I tryed that but i missed... It wont go deeper or higher when there is no Terrain to work with :/

You can't really "move" the palbox, because it moves the base border when you move it...

I just put the roof on the ground then build another one on top. Break the bottom one after. I thought the game was glitchy LOL.

Also destroys anything that requires power!!

Do you get the materials back when objects are destroyed by removing the pal manager?
