The only thing that has changed in Season 3.5 for Base Goku is that his B assist now charges a full bar instead of 0.75 every time it's used! Everything else is still up to date. Are you confused about all the numbers and letters? What the frick is a 236S? THE NUMBERS MASON, WHAT DO THEY MEAN?! This is truly an amazing guide. It has everything! - Going through normals, special moves and their uses - Assists - Gameplan - Combos for different skill levels - A freaking flow chart for block strings! - Link to a google doc for SB setups - Link to a bGoku discord server, other learning resources, twitter hashtag for tech, good players to learn from! Like this guide teaches everything and on top of that guides you to learn more and how to proceed with your journey. Also the guide has some top tier humour! Made me laugh!
@EACru20024 жыл бұрын
Damn, your guides are probably the clearest, yet still comprehensive combo videos out there. A lot of guides will show a bunch of different combos but don't really make it clear when and where each one is best used. True, they might show more options overall, but at the end of the day, I think the majority of players just want to be told, "These are the ones you really should be using." And I even like how you'll note if something maybe not the most optimal in terms of damage, but it's probably better just to stick with it because it's much easier and more consistent than the highest damage option. A pet peeve of mine is watching some combo guide and laboring hours and hours over a combo, only to learn that there's a much easier version that sacrifices just a few points of damage, especially when I see pro players using the "easy combo" over the highest damage one in games because they know that a dropped combo is missing damage. Please continue with all characters! EDIT: Also great work listing down both the damage, scaled damage, and meter gain of each combo.

It still hits me from time to time how cool it is that the original Spirit Bomb gets to be a special move. My initial Dragon Ball games were Tenkaichi 2 and 3, wherein oftentimes a character's higher forms, or later story iterations, get their lower forms' ultimate moves as specials, and at one point I started thinking about how neat it'd be if the smaller Spirit Bomb got the same treatment. Then FighterZ made it happen!

I gotta say, your guides are so great, definitely the best. They got humor and character. In my opinion, your vids are the easiest to learn from. Baseku is my favorite character, I just love his kaioken and the damage he does. Your video showed me what loops are and I’m lucky enough to have videos from you about most of the characters I like (Gogeta and Bluegeta). I’m still trying to nail down all of the combos and such with all of these characters, but your vids have been a tremendous help. I remember pulling off the air extension once against my friends and they went crazy, because they really haven’t seen that either. So I sent your vids to them and my friend absolutely loved your Frieza vid, so just keep up the great work!

There's a way to combo Yamcha's level 1 into spirit bomb that gives a safe jump and it isn't mentioned in the spreadsheet so I thought I'd let you know it exists since I use it all the time with my Yamcha and Baseku shell (might be height specific, but I've tried it on medium height characters and it worked). - Get sliding knockdown as Yamcha (midscreen or corner is OK) - Level 1 - 14747 (you need to have almost maximum possible delay between each hit of spirit ball. Very difficult to get at first but believe me it is still possible in season 3) - DHC into spirit bomb (press the assist button a frame or two after you input the last spirit ball hit, this will make Baseku show up to throw the spirit bomb before the last hit of spirit ball connects. If the last hit of spirit ball connects before Baseku shows up, it will not work) - Airdash as soon as you can so you land closer to your opponent - When you touch the ground, IAD into jH and that's the safe jump Thanks so much for these resources, I actually learned about a spirit ball into spirit bomb corner 50/50 from your spreadsheet that I didn't know about before, so I thought I'd contribute my knowledge in return.

@moistfist10544 жыл бұрын
But I don’t really understand your reasoning here. Like I get why you would want to replace him (because of frames) but replacing gogeta with base goku doesn’t make much sense to me since (correct me if I’m wrong) base goku is more of an anchor? And gogeta is a point or mid. Not to mention, gogeta’s Big Bang Kamehameha works with spirit bomb I’ve started to see more people place base goku as a mid and while I know people might be just be experimenting, I can’t really understand why they are so many
@themaestro96834 жыл бұрын
@@moistfist1054It's only experimental for the next couple of weeks. Plus I still have Kefla to DHC into Spirit Bomb. But tbh, I really don't care much about positions as much as most people do. I just play the game with whatever team and assists I feels right for me

There's also and even easier way to deal tons of dmg and a ToD with goku. So: 9710 Dmg (no bar needed, u will spend 3) -2 c assists who air track the opponent. (Tohan,Ui goku,Hit,veggeto,Fat bu,hit,etc) - Genkidama lv3 (lv2 deals 9200, lv1 8600) Land a 2M or 5M then 5H (starting with a 5H will deal 9991 but is harder to land) 2M>5H>214S>immediately charge the genkidama up to lv3 when the previous one explodes and call assist>214S>assist>214S>Lv3 and u could kill them with a vanish if the opponent is careless. If goku is in spark state before landing any hit it will kill. To make a ToD without starting with spark (to make it safer) u will need tohan, after u have charged the second genkidama and tohan is about to finish his assist, spark immediately then throw genki again and repeat with the other assist. (Deals 10321 dmg, 9800 if u start with genki lv2) ToD: - 1 c assist or spark. -2 bars (u will spend 4) (Btw will deal the same amount of damage with lll if u whiff the first 5L) 2H>5H>214S>3SS>Tohan c assist when you are about to land>5M>5H>5LLL>SD>5LL>2H>Jump>5LL>5S>236L>vanish,LM>Kaioken>(S,L,M,M,2S,finish and land) >HS delay into gohan's super Exactly 10018 dmg (Dmg varies for how long goku's kamehameha hits) To ToD with similar setup - Last man - spark - 1 bar needed (u will spend 2) - genki lv2 or 3 (works the same if genki lv1 but u will need an extra bar) Same route as before except instead of the assist when u land u 236L,into spark,LLL. Kaiokenx20 for most dmg route: S,L,M,M,L,L,2S,finish, kamehameha (if u land in the floor the kamehameha will deal 60 less damage)
@Cruz_Wein3 жыл бұрын
Despite kaioken route being a little harder, u can still ToD with kaioken and the 2 super assists after landing use both super assists (u can ToD using this route with genki lv2) So always try to get at least lv2 and never lv1, damage is not enough to ToD Edit: depending if the second super assists deals good damage it will Tod, for example i tried starting with genki lv2 tohan and vegetto super. It deals exactly 9967 dmg. Some characters like ginyu deal less dmg with their lv1 supers, also charging ginyus lv1 super sucks ass. 500 dmg for 1 bar i not worth it
