I was curious as to how he all of a sudden jumped up in stolen bases this year. Thought maybe he was coming off an injury, so if not that just adds to the mystery even more

I’m not saying it’s fully luck or anything. But his XBA is a lot lower than his actual BA. Doesn’t mean he’s a bad hitter whatsoever. Still having an XBA around .270 is great
