The Newport vents are great. They are very durable and are not limited to the use of only one type of circuit like the LTV. Their circuits are terrible.

"Whent setting up the HT70 to the desired SETTINGS, you need to hit accept otherwise it will go back to the previous settings" wchic is axatly what happen in this video. the representator wanted: SIMV OF .30 RR 12, PSV 5, PEEP 2 however after intering the settings he forgot to hip accept so the vent automaticly went back to the previous settings which was SIMV .40, RR 10, PSV 10 AND PEEP 3. this could be a very serious issue if it was in a real patient.

Time for set up is too long for a transport and as emergency ventilator , good demonstration , Nothing said regarding A pnea alarm 20 !!

The screen and everything are nice but I think I would like the LTV 1200 better... Not sure without actually using one of these though...

The LTV is a superior ventilator, particularly when paired with a graphics package. The HT 70 has an incredible battery life of up to 10 hours, so that is a plus. The biggest deciding factor for our programme was cost. We received a limited amount of money via a grant to purchase a ventilator that we could use to provide basic ventilator education for our students and this was the best deal that we could find. At the end of the day it can do all the basic things that you want from a ventilator and should be a good asset for our college.

The LTV sucks, it's very loud and hard to place without a stand.

These things are loud and vibrate way too much. I had one fall on my foot once and the bottom part of the vent broke 😅
