Do your own maintenance yourself if you can! It will save you a lot of money and you'll know it was done correctly. I track my maintenance schedule using software on my laptop www.lonewolf-software.com/automotivewolf.htm It sends me reminders when any type of maintenance is required. It also tracks all the parts, expenses and creates a very detailed vehicle maintenance log.

I love your video content! **Problem** I have a 2005 GMC Yukon XL 5.3 Vin# 1GKEC16Z75J154574. Start no crank problem until 2nd start attempt. Checked fuel pressure at the test port on the fuel rail. With the Key on but not started the pressure indicates 25+- psi but quickly declines to 0. Checked after vehicle starts pressure holds steady at 48psi. Once vehicle cranks no problem accept a light rough idle. Fuel pump is original from factory. Current mileage is 241k. I don't see a fuel regulator to check. Anything else to do before replacing fuel pump. Hesitant to replace pump cause once cranked there are no problems. I thought fuel pump failure was all or nothing. Thank you for your help.

Hi, first thanks for the great series, I really appreciate the videos. Regarding changing the wipers, it is always good to place a rag or some kind of a cover on the windshield since wiper arms/blades could crack the windshield when they dropped fast carelessly or by mistake while holding the arm with one hand. @cunkeymonkey
@cunkeymonkey 11 жыл бұрын
Ben's right, what the car manufacturer recomends is what you should go by in most cases. Most manufacture air pressure recommendations can be simply found on the side of the drivers' door panel and in some vehicles the gas cap cover. The wall of the tire only tells the max air pressure which is not good to go off of since this number is usually higher then the recommended and meant for the most strenuous capacity the vehicle can take, not typical driving. Most cases you'll only have to worry

If I'm correct this air filter is a high performance one wich can be cleaned. No need to change it, especially by a basic one. And you change high-end wipers by basic ones as well.

Good, helpful video. But I do have to say, the way you shoved that air filter in without properly removing the top cover was extremely unprofessional and downright lazy. The fact that you even decided to show a zoomed in edit of you doing it is beyond belief. If you didn't know how to remove the cover then why didn't you "check the manual"? LOL

as mrjost55 said this video is a little vague. Oil is usually a lighter brown,brake fluid is light brown,Coolant is usually green or orange, when checking the air filter grab a flashlight and shine it underneath facing up and if you can't see the light its better to change it, when checking oil grab a paper towel and wipe it then put it back in and take it out and check it with the handle facing down to get a accurate reading, with tire pressures its easier to check the drivers door.

My problem is when I go out in the morning and start my car when I start driving it sounds like something is dragging in the rear wheels. This only happens when I first start to drive. After go a short distance it goes away. When I say a short distance I mean less than a mile. For the rest of the day it's fine. Any ideas. Mccreron
