Don't worry!. I don't have autism but it can be confusing for many including me. My son has autism and my sister helped him out to open up his checking account and credit card. I don't understand what he's saying? As far as I know debit is when you have money in your checking account, you pay with it for you have available money. You can also cash out at any store or ATM. That's why they ask you if you want any cash back? A credit card is only the credit amount used allotted by a credit card company. i.g. Visa, Master Card. My son as a college student & he qualified for $1000. the first time. You can use them as you need, but you have to make monthly payments or can be paid in a lump sum. As far as I know you can not put money into any of these two credit cards account unless you want to pay them off. Never close a credit card account for it will drop your fico scores. Just tell them that you just want to pay it off but you want the account to stay open.. High fico scores will get you a better interest rate if you apply for a car loan or a house.
