A truly excellent tutorial Acrylicode. This is exactly the kind of network that I have been building for the past several months in a very inelegant way. As you point out - it is the shuffle chop that is the critical step. Until now I have been creating creating branch networks for each MIDI key (note) - that is 72 branches for processing 72 notes, and using a meticulously created table to instance the note parameters (velocity=size; note=position & colour; etc) to a circle or rectangle TOP. - Then compositing and rendering the set without a Geo/Camera/Render setup. My arrangement also works with SOPs. Your concise network cuts through a lot of operators - so thanks for the lesson!! Much appreciated.

hi, nice tutorial but... what about the music ?? why should i connect this midi if i can't use it to react with music? can you please make a tutorial for something like this for a live? thank you anyway!

i'm not getting the same results by following your tutorial. the ramp of the pattern chop is moving the x position of the instanced geometry, resulting in a scrolling (and resetting) dot. i've racked my brain trying to figure it out! please advise?

hi! thanks for this video! Im trying to recreate, except Im feeding in midi via TDAbleton from ableton live track and my pattern length is 56, after I type in 'op('null1').numSamples'. why should it be 25?
