here is a brief demonstration of some exercise and movements to enhance the cover and other boxing punches as well as body movements. These exercises will in time help build the shoulders and arms as well as increase flexibility . Learning to roll the shoulders is an important skill for fighter the Asian clubs will help students and professionals learn this technique.

Very good video. Swinging simple 1lb and 3lb clubs eliminated my rotator cuff shoulder pain in less than a month and saved me from surgery. It works!

Excellent information Army, thank you for sharing. I have used 4-5 pound hammers to do similar movements, one thing you might try is turning the clubs upside down, you'll get a different feel in the movements. Again thank you for the information, much appreciated. Daniel-

I always notice your wrists and forearms are built up, I've got to think this power/samson twister I have had around is probably good for that.

I'm thinking about buying some kettlebells, steel clubs or maces. Which would you recommend I get first? (I'm on a budget) and which would you say is the best for all around body and core strength and speed?

Well,I was actually looking into where I can get clubs of 2kg and higher,well this answers that xD Do you think it'd be a stupid idea to cast the form of a club,say.... the 2kg type, 15"1/2 with 12"1/2 diameter, and then use the cast to make the club out of a denser material? Or should I just stick with getting the near 3ft club after around 2-5 years of training? Or what would you recommend in terms of progression? I am a serious martial artist in terms that I will do things the right way, and have stopped my training for lack of a person with the knowledge I require to progress without injury.

how about clubs as weapons in themselves?
@lphantman
@lphantman 3 жыл бұрын
you can use anything as a weapon in theory. I have been involved in martial arts of one sort or another for over 50 years. Large clubs were and have been used in ancient civilizations to develop fighting skills specifically with a club sword mace or shield. If you look closely at the movement patterns used with clubs you can see quite easily the similarity of movements used or being practiced. Large clubs are difficult for the average person to use as a weapon. Small one pound club may be more easily used or yielded. Many of my students, teachers, and friends have over the years told me the clubs, have helped them develop power and improve techniques used in Filipino Martial arts.
