4 жыл бұрынTailoring classes for beginners in Tamil. Learn the basics of sewing. Learn how to sew straight and curved lines and gain control over pedal and speed of a sewing machine. Follow the steps shown in the video and practice to stitch corners by accurately stopping the machine, pivoting the needle and to turn the fabric and stitching.
Follow the first week sewing practice and use the skills learnt to stitch beautiful designer neck for your Churidars and blouse . By the end of 2 weeks, feel confident in controlling the speed, tempo and rhythm of the sewing machine.
Day 1 sewing class: Learn how to sew straight lines and gain control over pedal and speed
Day 2 sewing class: Learn how to stitch corners by pivoting the needle, lifting the footer and turning the fabric. Accurately stop the machine at line end
Day 3 sewing class: Become proficient in how to stitch corners and build the skill to stitch neck designs.
Day 4 sewing class: Gain speed and control and manipulate the hand wheel
Day 5 sewing class: Practice everything learnt during the week. Gain practice to sew straight lines and be confident in controlling the speed, tempo, and rhythm of sewing machine.
Day 6 sewing class: Learn how to sew curvedlines and gain control over pedal and speed
Day 7 sewing class: Learn how to stitch curves by pivoting the needle and creating curves.
Day 8 sewing class: Learn to sew curved turns.
Day 9 sewing class: Become proficient in how to stitch curves and build the skill to stitch curvy neck designs. Gain speed and control and manipulate the hand wheel
Day 10 sewing class: Practice what you have learnt during week 2 of the class and gain practice to sew curved lines and be confident in controlling the speed, tempo, and rhythm of sewing machine.

Sure ma will show how it is done. Stitching curves are a bit harder at the beginning - try to control the speed of the sewing machine using the pedal and start with bigger curves first before starting with smaller ones ma. Hope this helps, stay safe and happy sewing ma!

@@VibhasFashion do we need to move the fabric during the turn without taking the presser foot Because on thw straight lines if we need to turn we pivot and take the presser foot up.and turn

You are right ma, it is a good idea to slowly move the fabric along the curve without taking the presser foot - equally slowing down by controlling the pedal (low speed and moving the fabric is very important for curves) For straight corners and edges you stop>pivot>raise footer>turn fabric>release footer>start. If we do the same for curves it might look a bit jaggy.

These are some of the sewing books that I have ma. 1. ‘The sewing book’ by Alison Smith. This encyclopedia-like book has clear pictures of different types of stitches, finishing and projects - mostly western style but relevant and can be applied for Chudis and kurtis. 2. ‘Pattern magic’ by Tomoko Nakamichi is another interesting book - I am yet to try those pattern inspirations in Indian dress styles. 3. There are some books from Potter craft that comes with pre-cut patterns of western outfits, for example Chic and simple sewing by Christine Haynes - I use them to design kids wear. You would find these books showing up in one or my other videos :-) I will do a detailed note/video in the coming weeks ma. Happy sewing and let me know if you have any doubts ma!
