@@CertifiedSunset It is joke. It does happen, but unfortunately many precincts will actively protect cops who really should be disciplined or even fired. Some go so far as frankly bizarre training regimes that in no way prepare their officers for conflict resolution, just armed hostility. This isn't to say no good precincts exist or that all cops are heartless monsters that get away with murder, the whole "ACAB" thing is a useless generalization, but the problem does exist and is broadly systemic.
