The tutorial is based on Centos 7 but covers the basics of Apache web server, management and configuration that should be generic and independent of the Operating System. Provides an explanation of the options and configurations of Apache web server.

To anyone confused about the command "netstat -tupan" at 9:30, it's the same as "netstat -t -u -l -p -n"

May be I should wait your next video on the subject ! By the way, where the commands like systemctl netstat and others come from ? Are these some Linux commands ? Or are they in Apache ? I thought the video was about to "explain" things !

Commands like these are very basic to an average linux user, you should be familiar with linux prior to getting into linux based servers

Hello Amit. I follow the "vi /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf and I stuck on the configuration page. How do I go out and continue the set-up? I type :x, exit and nothing is working.

@@AmitNepal I trying to learn the WAMP stack and Apache is the only technology that i wasn't really able to find information on. I don't know anything about it or the internet aside from using it to look up things, ... so I am trying to learn how it works with the goal of building my own website, however there isn't much information on where to start when it comes to the apache. I know i need to learn it to be able to transmit request and responses to the client side/ front end.

Nice tutorial but my ubuntu distro doesn't even have an httpd folder. Only an apache2 folder. Is this how it's supposed to be on ubuntu?

You might have to install apache sudo apt install apache2

You can as long as you have a public IP on the server or put forwarding to reach the server if on private ip

Hot tip for making youtube instructional videos: don't talk about your process, such as how many attempts you've made before or what your concerns are surrounding the audience, etc., etc. It's irrelevant and annoying. Just get on with your lesson.
