Жыл бұрынIn Part 2 of our look at residential stairways, we look at several of the rules for stairs from the International Residential Code (IRC). How wide, headroom, risers, treads and more are in here. I will cover the most common rules that come up on inspections (for complete coverage of the topic feel free to visit Section R311.7 of the IRC). Be sure to catch Parts 1 and 3 for additional info about stairways.

You stated there are exceptions for the rules of stairways. Exceptions: 1.Stairways not within or serving a building, porch or deck. 2.Stairways leading to nonhabitable attics. 3.Stairways leading to crawl spaces. Then you show a picture of a stairway that is not within a building. Here you say the rules do apply. I am reading that unless the stairway is inside a building the rules don't apply. Would it be possible to have a deck, or porch inside a building? Since this is the IRC, it would need to be a residential building that would have an inside porch or deck I would guess. Please keep these videos coming out, much appreciated.
