A college basketball player had an amazing reaction to learning he had been admitted into nursing school - after being denied entry three times.
On November 1, Grand Valley State Lakers basketball coach Ric Wesley was holding a talk with his players about career opportunities at the GVSU Basketball Arena in Allendale, Michigan, when he surprised 22-year-old Ben Lubitz with some unexpected news.
Ric said to the team ‘since I was your age, I knew I wanted to be a coach’ and then asked each one of the players what they wanted to do after college.
When Ben’s turn came, the young player said that he wanted to become a Registered Nurse, having been denied entry to nursing school three times and having recently applied a fourth time.
