I agree with not over looking the White Bass. Had a tough time finding any fish last year during a national kayak championship when I ran across a school of them feeding. Fished em hard for an hour just having fun, but ended up getting 3 scoreable Largies before the bite turned off.

It's been hovering around 118 degrees for the last couple of weeks in Phoenix. Also lost a chicken this morning to the heat. Been gnarly.

Had a heart transplant 2.5 yrs ago and know you had your challenges as well. UPF clothing, gloves, cold towels and most of all a Bimini top have all enabled me with more comfort on the water. Nothing like graphing around under a Bimini with a sandwich and cold one to get you ready for when you find the megaschool😊

I cover up as well. I have a good collection of the summer fishing hoodies and bucket hats. I always have water with me. I usually fish in the cooler mornings and avoid midday fishing.

1st question… what type of bait.. Googan baits. That’s all you need friends. That’s all I use and that’s all I need. Googan catches them.

It’s hot here in Maryland too. ( ask 1rod) I fish on my lunchbreak from work and caught 2 bass over 3 lbs back to back days with a jackhammer chatter bait paired with a electric shad happy trailer. Give it a try!!

I'd be sniping them slab crappie up under them pontoon boats in the dock slips. With livescope you can easily find them and with a short rod you can slingshot a jig all the way to the back and let it sink and you'll catch giants like you've never seen before! Do it all the time around here and for the most part no one's messing with those crappie way up under the docks🤷

90% of the largemouth I’ve caught this month have been in schools of white bass. Even if they aren’t busting the top, if I see huge schools of white bass I’m throwing a spoon up in it. I might have to catch 10 white bass before I get a largemouth but it’s fun. I’m literally eating white bass fillets while I watch this😂

Some of the biggest bites happen between 11:00-2:00.
