***** For some reason KZfaq has distorted this upload. I really can't figure out why, and it's extremely annoying since I spent so long making sure there was no distortion at all. Please please please download the high quality video at the bottom of the description for a decent, distortion free version. *****
This is a more refined version of the other Opus Dei bass test. It's not the final version that I wanted but that would be more work than I have time available. Although most are subtle, here are the improvements I have made over the last version/prologue:
*** I have been through ever single bass frequency and made sure that they all start and finish properly. (Meaning they don't start or finish half way through a tone which causes clicks, and is damaging to the amps and speakers).
*** Some frequencies have been changed, and all have been made more equal in volume than the previous version.
*** Virtually all distortion has been removed
*** Timing problem near the end of the video has been improved
*** I have corrected all the errors I found with the arrows. (Some were showing differently to the actual frequency sweep being performed).
*** I have made sure multiple frequencies crossover and transfer from one to another more smoothly, and made sure that one tone beginning doesn't play at the same time as one tone finishing. Previously this caused minor distortion

Great sub test. I have a Maelstrom-X 18" sub running on 2000 watts in my room and it made my eyes water while listening to this during the 20-25hz tones. Thanks for the upload. It saved me time by not having to search around for it on the web.

Ha. I have to listen through headphones too until tomorrow. Everyone is asleep and will get woken up by that kind of bass. Sounds great through headphones and must sound awesome through speakers.

the small boxes, yes indeed. just standard. i stripped the standard subwoofer and added a pioneer bassworkx and mtx thunder 300. so enough bass

this test is dangerous. i didn't unplug my small boxes op my surround system and after the test 2 of them didn't work anymore. the day after they worked again but the sound isn't that well anymore. so be carefull with this one. but it sweeeeeeet

Some tracks, like this one, induce bass well under that of normal speakers. This one hits 3 Hz, which is so low that your speakers will either not play them, or will be completely inaudible. This is mainly for show, as any frequency under 15Hz will only be seen. I used this on my new towers(got em used, and need to be partially rebuilt... If I can get a hold of a camera, I'll post. what it should look like... Also, if your speakers are labeled as not able to hit that low, don't try and make em

YES! six months later i got the file downloaded lol JBL 4645c + opus dei = epic win :) mhm 18" driver 4" voice coil 25Hz tuned encosure, usable without sine wave distortion down to 17Hz. I can feel it :):):)

my headphones go low as 10Hz yet I hear almost no bass. my sub only goes down to 30 so I'm using my headphones. all I hear is fucking piano. I need sound tests on CD cause when listening to music my cd player seems to be twice as loud and a lot less distortion, fuck KZfaq bass tests

Nope, sub cuts off completely below 25hz... luckily for me, movies don't usually drop below that huh?
