Technically the best double bass player in the world!!!

if there's a bassist who can hold his own against virtuoso violinists like heifetz and perlman, it's patkolo... this interpretation is one of the best i've heard of one of the most powerful pieces of music ever written for violin (although the harmonics are a little shaky at 7:25, but you just can't beat his expression in the beginning)

This guy is always drops the bomb! My favorite performance of him is his Czardas duet with Maxim Vengerov!

Ich hatte die Ehre, mit seinem Vater im Schulheim zu leben. Neben Schülern des Musikkonservatoriums zu Žilina gab es auch Schüler aus anderen Schulen , wie Bau-, Sprach- Zahntechniker- Schule. Er hat uns immer mit seinem Geigenspiel erstaunt. Wir hatten eine tollen Erlebniss, als wir anfingen auf eine Glasflasche klopfen und er sagte sofort, was für ein Ton ist das, und sein Freund Igor Knotka spielte ihn gleich auf dem Akkordeon. Er war für uns als Zauberer. Lass den Herrn Gott ihm einen ewigen Ruhm geben für die Kinder, die er auferweckt hat. Er hat ein Lächeln ähnlich dem Vaters unverwechselbar, sanft, trotzdem selbstbewust.

The viola is also not so easy. The viola and bass are harder to play than their smaller respective instruments because they are awkwardly sized, and as such, this would also be quite difficult on the viola as well.

@123foops It's called a double bass. An upright bass. AKA a bass. The biggest of the string instrument family. An octave lower than a cello. Like to normally play the bass line. It's very BASSic.
