I’m a Roman Catholic, but when I visited my father’s home town in in the Appalachian Mountains in Pennsylvania, we went to a Ukrainian Catholic Church that he went to he was a kid. The church has traditions similar to the Orthodox Church, so listening to Batushka reminds me of that mass. I wish I went to one of their concerts while they’re touring the US.

HELL YEAH same here! I tried describing them to a friend and hes like oh you mean like Ghost and so I went home and looked up Ghost and when I saw my friend next, I was like LOL Batushka is the real thing :D They are incredibly expert in evoking a certain mood and thus thoughts like about your past and people you knew, and so on, with but a few bell rings and guitar plucks, its insane!

I'm so jealous for any people who experienced the band with Krzysztof, since Bart has taken over the band many big festival invited him (Bartushka), they're coming to Indonesia next year and I asked Krzysztof on Instagram and he replied "hi, faketushka will play as I know" really sad 😢

Музыка и сам концерт отпад, я аж от экрана не могу отпрянуть. Но как я вижу, на концерт вообще пришли какие-то левые люди не ради музыки, а ржекича. Таким не понять всей благодати, кадилом им по лбу.

Еслиб батюшкам не сорвали концерты в России, то у нас бы пришло много народу осознающих благоду сею. Я знаю множество достаточно набожных православных людей и им показал группу эту. Большенству понравилось. Мы потом вместе сидели записи с концертов смотрели-слушали. Но всеже среди наших много и не оч умных людей. На какой о концертной записи батюшки от Драбиковского, кто то на русском на весь зал матом крыл. Было мягко говоря неприятно.

Batushka can be seen as a black metal band. In Black Metal there's a load of different genres and there's a lot of discussion what is pure and what not. We don't care, we just let the music to the talking. :-)

ovd806 Thank you my brother. it is true what you say and I agree. but sometimes when there's a new black metal band in my country playing exactly the same thing as a Mayhem or sound that resembles a bit with Death Metal. many people judged that the band was playing Black/Death metal. when the band itself if I see in facebook account, metallum, or other account. they play a genre of pure Black Metal. that is what makes me confused and dissatisfied if not know for certain. I like the metal music subgenre. but Black Metal is in my heart. can you explain to me master ? the difference in detail about Black Metal, Death Metal, and Black/ Death Metal. forgive me for my ignorance. I hope you can understand and answer. Thank you Master. 🙏😊
