@@carlomure It's not difficult to understand. Most skaters in the competition don't have Merlin twists, nollieflip underflips and other even more exotic tricks on lock. These guys made skating flatground their specialty.

Yeah they were so chill. Fun to watch. Jamie could take the whole thing... They had another epic game of skate on Johnny's channel yesterday too. They need to get together more regularly. Johnny should be a sub for whoever else can't make it next to a match. Shame to loose his bag of tricks.

IDK if Giger does double forward flip often but that was impressive. Jamie’s was flawless as well. Jamie matching the pressure heel, and Giger matching the ss front foot impossible 180 was bananas.

Jamie also said in one of his practice videos that after you learned forward doubles, they are easier than simple forward flips. guess it's the tre flip - varial flip situation.

@@zach3955 I agree, johnny was never secretive about not loving hardflips and heelflips, and Jamie had some very consistent double flips (which are usually easy letters) on variations. The battle was amazing and not a loss Johnny should feel bad about at all, reading the comments from the fanboys I thought it was a disaster or something !

Yeah if you look at the type of tricks they did, this could have been like a semi final or final type game. Very high level. And with the practice game Jonny beat Jamie. So it's definitely a close match regardless who starts off.

Huge congrats to Jamie! Well deserved! Two flatground wizards, could've gone either way as you could see from the game of SKATE on Jonny's channel. It seems like Jonny wanted this pressure to be over - 1½ years of pressure, he seemed so relieved to be able to take up Jamie's hand and say "the winner is" but he also seemed proud of Jamie :)

As a Giger fan this makes me so sad although I'm happy for Jamie. I wish Jonny had some easier enemies first. He's a very unlucky man: BATB 7 first match - PRod, BATB 12 - Jamie Griffin, I mean how unlucky can you get?! :D Now I hope Jamie wins the whole thing, because he's a beast and also a cool dude.

Hats off to both dudes, this was the most interesting battle I have ever watched outside every match that involves Mike V or the curb face-off between Ace and Bevup. Good $ht B, I love your format. The backstories and lead-ups to this match made me feel nervous just watching this. I feel bad for whoever is facing off with Jamie, the guy's ability to match obscure tricks that he probably doesn't practice is freakish, I would say the same about Giger had he triumphed.

That was an amazing game. Congrats to the winner. I closed my eyes on some of the tricks going down in the later-letter rounds. This was worth the wait, especially with the tricks that went down. Now...time to rewatch.

Brooo these guys are absolutely insane. I have to re-watch the switch tricks because I can barely manual switch lmao, I just can't believe that they skate switch better than 99% of skaters. I know most pros do, but it's still crazy to watch them bang out insane tricks switch.
