BMR is a batch manufacturing record also known as BPR which stands for batch production record or batch processing record.Another name of BMR is BPCR which means batch production & control record.BMR is one of the most important documents of the pharmaceutical industries which is used to manufacture a batch of a specific product.Batch manufacturing record is issued by the Quality Assurance department to the production & it has two main components
Fixed Components & attachable components.
Fixed Components are part of master copy & attachable components are those which are received from other departments & are attached to the BMR.
BMR or BPR provides us all the batch history & after manufacturing BMR acts as a tracing object in case of any market complaint.
The retention period of the Batch manufacturing record is Expiry Date plus 1 year.
