The butterfly turned out really cool 😎 I'm a soaper and work with micas all the time. I only use a mask for mixing the lye solution, never had to use it for the micas.

We have a heat warning up here in Southern Canada..100°F.. Stunning job on your butterfly.( I cant win..too hot for resin right now...all winter too cold for resin..)this too shall pass 😅

I think you and I are on the same wave length with molds, I have this mold to and was going to do it, but changed my mind for now. But love your steam punk one. I hadn't looked at this mold yet, it has a ton of nooks and crannies. ❤

The rain sounds awesome on the roofs of mobile homes, I loved when I lived in mine, but love it even more when under a tin roof or while inside a car 😀 As for Daniel Cooper inventing using pva glue in epoxy resin? Steve McDonald experimented with it over 3 years ago, while Daniel did it only 7 months ago, a quick search discovered that. I love that butterfly mold, I might have to buy one lol Take care Marva 😊

The only video I could find if Steve's is 3 us aho and he used white glue to tone the color of mica powders down some. I couldn't find one where he used the clear to suspend glitter. If you can find it send me the link cause I fir sure want to give credit to the correct person

@@marvelous4363 the toning down effect was a side effect of using white pva glue that doesn't state it dries clear, his experiment was what would happen if he used pva glue in epoxy resin. Daniel used clear pva glue. Both glues were pva, regardless of one being white and the other clear. Just wanted you to be informed because I also made the mistake of giving Daniel credit before researching! Have a great day!

Soak your glue cap in warm water after each use the tip and end gets hard.
