pads are like attatching a diaper bottom to your underwear, tampons are basically a compacted cotton ball on a string that you stick up there to tackle the problem at the source you also have diva cups these days which are straight up little silicone cups you fold up and stuff up there that open up and act like a little dam, and you can pull them out to empty and reuse
