But a different version, in this iteration Jason wasn't actually killed by the joker but instead joker faked Jason's death and hide him in an abandoned wing of arkham asylum and brainwashed/ tortured Jason for over a year. And Jason is mad because he feels like batman abandoned him and left him with the joker for so long. P.S.The joker is still sort of around( he's in Bruce's mind messing with him) and he is voiced by Mark hamill.

Technically Arkham Knight IS a new character, the person under the mask however is NOT a new character. I tried not to get spoiled but 6 hours before I got the game someone posted a pic online of the Arkham Knight with his mask up and the face of the person had a J scar under his left eye. So ya. and the longer you play the game the more it makes sense that its Jason Todd

As for the Arkham Knight people take over other villains identities all the time. So in future comics I'm sure someone new will pick up the Arkham Knights suit and stay as him. It happens all the time in comings someone taking another previously used alias.

I had no doubt that it was Jason even before I started watching the let's play. He acts like him, talks like him (beneath the voice modulator), keeps hinting like crazy... I have no doubt it's Jason. I'm just kind of excited for the unveil and seeing how the unveil happens in the game given what's going on with the Batman. Well if you remember in arkham city Hugo strange had an army of tiger guards. Well Hugo strange is dead...BUT if you remember Hugo was working with ra's al ghul. And you stated that Jason was brought back to life by ra's al ghul. So see where I'm going with this. So what if when Hugo strange died ra's al ghul came back to life with a Lazarus pit. And told the tiger guards that they where working with him (since Hugo died and was working with ra's) that concludes that if the arkham night is Jason Todd well that's how he got his army. The reason he's mad with Bruce is because he was replaced and because Joker is dead. And why he's mad about J's death? Well, since he's been stalking Batman for so long he'd surely be aware of the fact that Batman didn't kill Joker. And his death remaining unavenged would piss him off.

To anyone on here who has watched this video again recently and is wonder about his question as to how the Arkham Knight came into possession of an army after the events of the prequel comics. Well after he killed the B and C list villains in the comics he then decided to align himself with the big Bat villains as we saw in the game, The villains then agreed to pull all the money they all had and chose to fund a full private militia and AK and Scarecrow would lead as they brought the villains together, so the private militia cost 3 billion dollars and was paid for by the combined funds of Penguin, Two-face, Harley, Scarecrow and The Riddler and was shipped to Gotham and used to take over Gotham after it was evacuated after SC warning.

Now all of my theories are incorrect. I thought it was Joker, but we see they burned his nody in the beginning of the game. It's not Bane because the Arkham Knight killed him. I still don't think it's Jason. I mean, this is like trying to find out who Red X is. The only people left that knows Batman really well are all the robins and Hush. There's a whole comic book about this. When batman is apparently killed my dark side (he was really sent back in time) Gotham is without a batman. Dick Greyson doesn't want to dawn the batman armor but eventually had to when he finds out someone is running around pretending to be batman, using guns and killing. It's eventually found out that it's Jason Todd. I knew the Arkhangelsk knight was Jason Todd when they refused to tell who he actually is

It’s weird he was never actually dead. I do like the fact that Joker just kept him in Arkham for years & tortured him mentally & physically for years. But like City & Asylum makes it seems like the death in the family happen instead of this other take. Both are really interesting takes but City & Asylum don’t really accept what happened too Jason , that was confirmed in Knight. But hey it’s not Dini. Also let’s talk about the fact that this video is 5yrs old now. Which freaks me out. Also freaks me out that Origins is 7 years & City is 9. Time is funny. Also Jason being Arkham Knight is a cop out & I hate it. Also the fact that the storyline should have focused on Thomas Elliot & Azreal based on what happened in City bugs me. But hey guess Dini not wanting to do it changes what happens naturally. Also writers not understanding natural progression. But in a way they just naturally progressed joker being dead & the toxin affecting Batman & some people in the city who got blood before hospitals were alerted about jokers blood being in hospitals. The only problem I have with Jason Todd being the Arkham Knight is that those who never read/knew of the Death In The Family arc, or that Jason Todd's arc was so great, won't have much of a connection to the reveal. There's not much introduction to him in the game either to have an emotional attachment to the character

I don't think these are spoilers as they're speculation. Spoilers for the previous games perhaps, but why then click on the link and read these comments? Anyway, Todd makes sense. The spin I'd see is he's back, he's angry, he's red hooding it up, and he's full of vengeance. But rather than be "batman, why u no kill joker?", as Joker's dead he's worried batman's slipped. Lost it. Broken his one rule. So he's going to take him down. So the red hood DLC will be pre-AK storyline, but he'll then go AK after finding shiz out in order to take down batman. Or summin.

The whole "Old man" tormenting thing COULD still work with a clone of Bruce Wayne, but only if it was a younger clone of Bruce Wayne. This has been done in the DC Universe with Superboy. Maybe the clone just wasn't finished maturing.

The identity was pretty obvious even before the game launched. It might be tricky for some casuals to get it, but for a hc fan it was right there in front of you... Of course in-game you get more and more certain of it;)

If you look at the Arkham Knight's figure from Play Arts Kai, he sports the same pistols that Jason uses in the story pack images and video, as well as his figure. Could be a coincidence, but after the comic was talked about, it can't be Damian's clone, but could be Damian. At first I thought Jason couldn't be the Knight because he would not kill Batman as he is a father to him. As Joker is dead, Jason won't have really any beef with Bats, unless he's pissed that Batman didn't off him himself, but it wouldn't matter for Jason. They might meet up afterwards in the story pack unless he is the Knight.

In the game, when you confront Jason, the Joker said that he tell's Batman a lie, so its mean that the joker lie about Jason death, and put Jason somewhere that Batman can't found him.

Rocksteady didn't lie. The Arkham Knight is a new persona, yes, but Jason Todd is technically a new character to the Arkham Stories.He hasn't been shown before, but mentioned as a cameo.

It would make sense if Jason was Arkham Knight cause of the way he knows Batman’s every move..the way he talks to Batman,He even knows his identity and only the Previous ( and tim ) robins know that! For me, I just avoided all spoiler/theories of who the Arkham Knight is. But I did know that Rocksteady said"he's a brand new character". So I didn't think it could be an existing character in the comics...until I played the game and hearing him talk. Calling him old man and whining/got something to prove type tone. It wasn't much of a mystery for me after that lol but I still enjoyed the hell out of that game

he has a army b/c of scare crow and the rest of the villains wanting bats to be taken down. its a good token type thing from each villain baddy, by given a little of their army to see bats taken down.

what i think is that there are some easter eggs in other arkham games it takes place in arkham origins where he is brought back to life and he didnt have any more robins after him till later and after the easter egg to red hood in the ordeal in arkham city as one of the missions he was training to become as good as batman till he killed black mask in the red hood story line then after that took place in what i believe is arkham city where he was also took captive in the wall in arkham city he was in hiding and waiting till the wall was took down then he was recruiting the militia to be able to take full control of gotham with the help of his partner in the operation Jonathan Crane A.K.A Scarecrow to take down the bat in a struggle to take full control of all of gotham or the entire world by the bats death till the arkham knight was unmasked so batman could finally know who has started the war on gotham city

Hi Mate, Good Theory!!!! I think the Scarecrow know more that he lets onto. I also think the Arkham Knight is using the Scarecrow to get a strong hold on Gotham. This is really a revenge game on Batman. Also I may think the Joker has left some other form of information behind which has either been passed on to the other rogues or just Scarecrow? Just cant wait for Tuesday.

How is it disappointing or ruined the character the gameplay is for gamers while the story are for batman fans that how I see it. If your not a fan of batman you will find the story week. A good reason for Jason to be the Arkham Knight would be that fact that Joker is dead. Think about it, Jason wanted revenge on the Joker. Jason wanted to kill him because he killed Jason. But when Batman walked out with Joker dead at the end of Arkham City, Jason was mad that Batman "killed" the Joker before he could get his revenge. Hence, Jason's reason to go after Batman in Arkham Knight.

I believe that Red Hood did this to become the Arkham Knight.. Before the prequel comics, Jason would go to Hush and have him be Bruce Wayne, that way he can have enough money to well yeah.. Be the Arkham Knight. Once this is done, Jason off's Hush and then comes the prequel comics. Now, how Jason gets his army? I believe he mixes everything up, gaining some of the Joker's men, all of Bane's men, and also finally, he off's Talia and Rahs (who are brought back via Lazarus Pit) who revived him, and he takes control of the League Of Assassins. With this new army, he begins his siege against Gotham.

one thing that everyone (including me) missed is that red hood and arkham knight's mask are exactly the same shape. the only difference is that red hood has that gas mask thing and arkham knight has the ears.

It is true i figured this out before release too mainly because I could tell by his voice and about 1/4 of the way through this game I was %100 sure and about barbara.

I think that's a pretty valid argument. What throws me off isn't the new "character". It's that rocksteady is releasing a dlc for red hood. I know you said "it could take place earlier" which is fine, so does harley quinn's. But why would he go through the trouble of making 2 personas? It just makes no sense. It's clear Jason is dead, so obviously batman doesn't know who the red hood is yet, so why make 2 different personas, as I mentioned. I almost take the announce of the red hood dlc as rocksteadys way to say "no, it's not Jason". Much like the under my skin trailer shows joker is being burnt. The only way I could see it working is if Jason makes multiple persona that way if one is outed he has the other to fall back on. But i hope that your wrong, not against you but because I don't want such a weak twist. I want someone who We can all say "I'd have never guessed that!". Nobody guessed the joker-clayface plot twist in city, and I have faith that Paul Dini will do something great with arkham knight.

It would've been better if the Arkham Knight was Frank Boles from Arkham Asylum imo. The main plot (and not the Season of Infamy side plots) could've incorporated the League of Assassins trying to revive Ra's (way back in Arkham Asylum from the Riddle with Ra's in the morgue) and used dead Arkham Asylum guards to test if the Pit was stable. Which could lead to Boles somehow surviving and becoming a near successor to Ra's (thus learning Batman's identity) until he becomes crazy from the effects by the Lazarus Pit and dawning the Arkham Knight persona.

In reality I do because both the red good and the arkham knight have the same color way and the muscular build. Now people would say that the arkham knight is deathstroke but deathsroke is older than batman so there is no possible reason for "him" calling batman old man .
