What made this movie even more fun was the awesome merchandise associated with it. Toys, McDonald’s glasses, school folders, posters, t-shirts, hats, etc

lol!!! I know what you mean. When I was a little kid I was always aware of that Panda movie but never saw it. I basically only knew it just because of the Batman Forever videotape.

It’s a nostalgia thing. Some people had these tapes growing up, and when they see these openings, they’re transported back in time, back to when “things were simpler.” Most of them were kids, and watching these unlocks memories for them. Some people didn’t even fast-forward through the openings. Unfortunately, they’d have to purchase the VHS tape (which you’d have to actively look for and purchase), a VCR and hopefully have a TV that can hook up to a VCR in order to get that nostalgia feeling without the internet. But YT conveniently gives them the nostalgia without the hardware. Hope that helps!
