This is the first time I have found a Batman story containing nothing of value other than now that it's over never thinking of it again.

Catwoman has the most janked logic ever for this plot, like just because ppl aren't killing while committing a crime doesn't make the crime acceptable like why not train the goons to do honest work that benefits the city instead of making them better at committing crimes. The problem with this story is the bait and switch. It's marketed as a big clash of ideals Batman vs Catwoman for rivals, turned lovers, turn ideological rivals! Instead about half way through Vandal Savage shows up and hijacks the plot. So was Selina wrong for doing what she did? Or is it being excused as Vandal screwing everything up? Batman mentally cracking is like a C plot. Was it Zurr? Who knows! I wanna say Jason deserved what Bruce did to him but it was also entirely out of character for Bruce. Jason didn't even kill anyone here. What, because 1 theif got killed by the rich lady? If Batman has that fear thing why didn't he use it on every criminal instead. Seems like an instant solution. It had a good set up but half way it started to be dumb and got worse. And Vandal did the whole meteor thing already in Superman at the end of new52. It was better.

This is quite literally rock bottom for modern batman its just so stupid across the board. Her character assasination aside, Catwomans plan doesn't make logical sense. There no way dick who literally spent his whole run trying to find a way to help the poor escape the cycle of poverty, cassandra who looks up to bruce in pretty much every way, and stephanie who's life was ruined by her dad being a criminal would EVER side against bruce. It's so transparent they did all this to make batman a depressed dark loner again and didn't bother to think about how. Such a dumb fake deep story where the whole of gotham is thrown into chaos AGAIN. Zdarsky just doesn't get batman at all
