The people who shouldn’t really be tried is Harvey Dent and Gordon, since they willingly let that happen

Batman brutally beating the Joker in "Hush" is much more emotional in the original comic-book, as we can see here Bruce remembering all the terrible things the clown did (killing Jason and Sarah, crippling Barbara, etc) while punching him. Some of the quotes he says here are pretty moving: "I think of Barbara...and snapping the Joker's neck becomes much easier"

"I won't kill you, but I will make you wish that I would."

I freaking hated how the Hush movie made Tommy a completely normal guy and gave the Hush identity to the Riddler. It was a completely unnecesary change that got rid of Tommy's importance in the lore

This one isn't a beat down, Hell it wasn't even Bruce who did it, but I absolutely love the final showdown between Terry's Batman and Tim's Joker. Terry just drops the Batman act of being the stoic nightmare of Gotham City and just becomes who he needs to be for this interaction, a teenager laughing at a Clown. Because at the end of the day, Joker may act goofy, but he can't stand being laughed at. So it hurt deep!

Nodody really gets the end of arkham knight, SPOILER WARNING. Through the whole game batman was fighting the jokers blood because joker injected some into batman before dying. Scarecrows toxin bringing out the worst fear in people combined with the fact that joker is still a part of batman had a bad enough effect on his psyche that he starts becoming the joker slowly. By the end of the game batman is strapped down to a chair and scarecrow injects him with the toxin, fully turning him into the joker. Batman, now joker, laughs in scarecrows face. In frustration scarecrow injects him again. This time the toxin effects the joker not batman. So the little bit of batman left in his mind fought the joker with the fear toxin. Jokers worst fear was being forgotten so batman locked him away in his mind, never to be remembered.

You should do one of these for Spider Man and Daredevil since they also abide by the no killing rule. I recommend J. Michael Straczynski's Back In Black for Spider Man and the issue right after Green Goblin kills Gwen Stacy for Spider Man as a starting point. And for Daredevil I recommend issue 49 from 1998 where Daredevil beats Bullseye to a bloody pulp and finishes it off by carving a symbol in his forehead with a sharp rock.
