As a fan of both DC and Marvel, I'm looking forward to the upcoming movies this video is criticizing, Captain America: Civil War and Batman v. Superman, but I'm more skeptical about the DC film simply because of DC's track record with live action movies. I'm still going to go to the theaters to watch it simply for the reason you stated as will many of the viewers. I only hope that both features will succeed for the right reasons in the end.

I like super heroes, either they was american, japanese, french or other. But I think people today focus to much aboot the movie and no't enough aboot comics.

If kevin feigi control both DC and marvel and then he'd build both of them up to eventually a final 3 part crossover movie with the DC heroes and marvel heroes fighting an all powerful original villain that has never been in any comics. Like the villain is so powerful that he destroys entire universes and the DC heores and marvel heroes are from different universes and they meet each other to stop him. Galactus may be the destroyer of worlds but this villain is the destroyer of universes. The only problem is to give him a proper motive other than "I'm evil and I do evil shit" But kevin feigi won't have any problem coming up with a motivation for a villain.

You might be pleased to know that DC's going to take their comics in a new direction. After the 'Convergence' event, they're ditching the New 52 label and releasing a load of series with a lot more variety and- dare I say it -more LEVITY. You're partially correct. People did like these characters, they just weren't nearly as famous as Batman and Superman. But the times they are a changin' and over the last decade, Iron Man and Cap have risen to a level of prominence that is easily on par with Batman and Superman.

Well I mean, I remember watching the movies for iron man and cap when they came out. That being said, did I see them before I watched Batman beyond? Honestly can’t remember but I want to say I knew who Ironman was before batman or Superman. My generation didn’t grow up on comics, honestly don’t think most my generation knows how to read in general. So most of the recognition comes from the movies and it makes sense. Marvel has far better live action. Dc has an amazing animated universe that far trumps marvels though. A shame most people write it off as kids shows. Also prefer most of Dc comics over marvel. Only marvel ones I really care for are the X-men related ones, moon knight and daredevil. Meanwhile Dc has Constantine, teen titans, spawn, Batman, don’t gaf about Superman imo he’s boring as shit, nightwing, red hood, watchmen, the flash. Has all the best girls as well. Raven, starfire, zatanna. Some of the best ass you’ll see in comics: nightwing, nightwing and more nightwing (seriously why is bro so caked?) I LOVE the movie. Not because I'm a fanboy, but because it was done well. Hell, I even CRIED at the fight between Iron Man and Captain America. Everybody in my school watched it and they each have yet to say something bad about it! I thought it was perfect. The villain had a valid reason to destroy the avengers from the inside, the twist in the end was unforgettable, Spider-Man & Ant-Man were both amazing, and it just split-up the avengers. The reason you find it mediocre is because you don't seem to be keeping up with the series. Ever since Iron Man came out, we grew up with these characters. They took their time to make us care about every hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And to see two of them go at it is just heart breaking. The fact is that popularity doesn't blind people with nostalgia. When Avengers: Age of Ultron came out, people weren't afraid to give it bad reviews. The fan community was split into two!

I think origin stories can be done very wrong but when done right even if it's been done a thousand times before it can still knock you on your ass like its the first time! I like Batman's origin story just because of the raw emotion in it.

That's not necessarily true. Take a look at a lot of Tim Burton's Batman movies they didn't necessarily have an origin story but they were still pretty good movies. Batman has become so iconic right now though that he doesn't really need an origin story in the movie everyone just knows that's batman

+JediDanD Depends When it comes to The Room vs ESB, is WIDELY accepted that ESB is better, only like, 10 in the world like that movie more. BvS has a good amount of people in the world that likes the movie more. And it's actually debatable. However this person gave no points or reason to say why CW is better, just simply saying BvS Sucks, CW's cool.

Metacross - TCGO/Minecraft Civil War FTW!

I, now, officially HATE you!!!... Kidding (not that my "hating" you would have meant anything anyway)... Besides, I'm not a DC fanboy. nor a Marvel fanboy, I'm a comic book fanboy. & a movie fanboy, so I like both movies, it's just that while there were some scenes in BvS that were the most awesome thing ever put to film, CACV just had a lot more of them. & while I would have liked it more if they could have waited to use the Civil War storyline, until they had more of the key characters, I think they did an excellent job with what they already have... I just hope that DC is able to redeem themselves with Suicide Squad, that Marvel doesn't drop the ball with Dr Strange, & that Xmen Apocalypse is good (in case you haven't already figured it out, I want all the movies to do well, that way, more will be made. Who knows, maybe if Marvel & DC do well with their cinematic universes, one day we'll get an Ultraforce or WildC.A.T.s movie (or a GOOD Spawn movie), which could be awesome if done correctly...)... Just my opinion & nothing more, so no need for you to think about anything I've said...

DjDragonblade Yes! I agree! Batman V Superman had many great scenes but only one fight scene between two heroes but Marvel has three fight scenes between superheroes in Civil War and lasted longer. If only they kept the original idea where Batman sees Superman as a threat to humanity and must stop him and Superman sees Batman as a bat vigilante who thinks he's above the law and decides to bring Batman to justice. Not them fighting all because Superman is blackmailed to do it. And it was only a 10 minute fight which sucked.
