In this video, we go over Marvel's Spiderman from the MCU vs DC's Batman from DCEU and determine who would win and why. Who's strong, who's faster, who's smarter, who has more finesse and much more. We also go over numerous ways to interpret the characters abilities to help understand the matchup completely.
Spider-Man will include feats from all versions of his Marvel Cinematic Universe versions, including Spider-Man from Spider-Man 1, 2, 3, Amazing Spider-Man, No Way Home, Far From Home, etc. Batman will mainly be from Batman VS Superman, and his other DCEU appearances including non and Snyder Cut versions.

That’s kinda just how he talks. The problem with power scaling is that sometimes it literally doesn’t make any sense, sometimes the director or author just wants to make something look cool, and by doing so we get weird feats like Batman somehow being FTL. Ofc I doubt Seth actually thinks that, but for a video that is meant to garner attention and clicks, that statement is quite rousing

I have one major issue with your logic here when it comes to you giving Batman the speed advantage. You used Superman as the base for scaling Batman to light speed due to the phantom drive, but you didn’t use Thor quite literally blitzing a black hole in dark world and scaling Spider-Man from that. Also capt marvel traverses space on a whim at MFTL speeds while conscious of where she’s goin like when she found Tony in the middle of nowhere in space, but only gets calced at Mach 1000? I think spidey got lowballed here a bit.

Also, Batman can't have light speed reaction. This has been undermined in multiple scenes of films he has been in. People have to consider the narrative of the scene before introducing whatever relativistic feat in scaling. Batman even if superhuman cannot keep up with the likes of Spider-Man.

Incorrect. Batman is the type of character to keep a dossier on Spiderman as soon as some sightings crop up, use his high tech satellites to find out he's Peter Parker, and document his activities through New York CCTVs, much before they ever cross paths. The hypothetical you're insinuating would only practically happen to a Batman before he joins the JL. Maybe Year 1 or Year 2 Batman at most.

I agree. But if Spiderman just say... ended up being randomly transported across universes into the batcave somehow, there's no way Batman would be able to prepare for threats in a universe he doesn't know exists.

@@NarrowSpark96 That's another super specific hypothetical, and frankly, Batman could deal with him in the Batcave easily. He has neutralised a literal army of Talons, who are basically undead zombies each deadly enough to pose a threat to peak humans supposedly in his tier; fought Deathstroke-a much deadlier version of Captain America-to a standstill; and even Kara Zor El, Supergirl, using Kryptonian Martial Arts to subdue her in a mental state where she wouldn't know to hold back. The Batcave has an insane amount of defences and contingencies. This would, again, come down to the timeline of Batman. If you're putting Year 1/2 Batman in this situation, obviously he'd lose to an out of character bloodlusted spiderman. The Batman wank does get annoying, but now, the Batman downplay has gotten annoying too 💀

Prep time is bullshit for any character in a dearh battle. Because it's the infinite cop out. You aren't the characters so you can't say exactly what they would do. So you just assume he can do anything. You'd have to come up with a plausible way for Batman to prep something. Like how much info does he get. How much stuff does he need for his plan. Does he have the stuff necessary. What even is his plan. How much time does he have to access these resources. How much stuff does he start with or have at hand. You can't say he goes and asks superman for shit or goes to some other dc planet for materials because that implies he knows of the fight ahead of time and it either takes place in his verse or he has an unfair advantage by being told everything about spiderman and his stats. Given time and unlimited resources to work with with a deadline while spiderman gets dragged without further notice. So that's just biass. Whatever you give batman spiderman should have access to as well. And if he got just as much info and time as batman to come up with something he definitely would. Since spiderman is just as good with preptime as batman and has better base stats.

At no point would Batman have access to whatever Spiderman has access to like Stark’s technology and Spiderman wouldn’t have access to Batman’s tech. But either way I was just saying Batman is OP with prep.

you didn't even research how spidermans spider sense works, and if u did u knowingly left it out 😂 u would have realized that in the no holds bar section of the video(really, every part) Spider-Man would have been able to legitimately know everything batman is doing before he does it, Spidermans spider sense is so good that he can legit tell if a dude is in disguise just by having him in proximity. Spiderman is a legitimate avatar with attachments conceptual level beings and powers. Great video not that I agree but it was a fun ride. It just goes to show when it comes to visuals in general sometimes it's all about how you portray something versus the actual Logistics of it. Like the Flash when you see him as a blur from a human perspective he's fast, but when you see the world stand still from his perspective you're like oh that real speed. Seth, I think you forgot to mention that superman holds back......like a whole lot. And his heat vision which he used a good bit drains him of energy more than any other power. Batman also reacted to doomsday's heat vision before it was fired, evidence to this is that heatvision is shown to have to build up in their eyes before launched

It's a fact that superman wasn't holding back when he went at batman in the gauntlet scene. Superman was blood lusted and took out the jl. He wanted batman dead in that moment. As is evident because supes tried to terminate bruce with his heat vision not knowing Bruce had the absorbing gauntlets.

Just going off the movies I feel Toby is probably the strongest spider in terms of pure strength. Sure Tom has better tech and spider sense and Andrew has electro speed scaling but Toby was capable of soloing goblin in his movie. The same goblin who was whopping Tom and even stopped a bloodlusted Tom from killing goblin by grabbing the glider. It’s probably because he’s an older Spider-Man and that was the intention but.

Cap did not throw Ultron through a concrete pillar. They were on a truck at speed, probably 50 or 60 miles an hour when Cap knocked/though Ultron off of the truck and he hit a pillar. I'm sure cap helped a lot but it was mostly the truck.

Doomsday isn’t planetary and neither is his heat vision, has nowhere near the feats to be that high. He would eventually destroy the planet like Hulk in Age of Ultron according to WoG. Same Hulk who the Hulkbuster could stand up to which Spidey would scale to. Superman was in front of the event horizon as he had to get clear of it, he wasn’t FTL at that point, only after he resurrected. No Batman isn’t FTL, that’s stupid. His best feats are relativistic which plenty of MCU characters have that Spidey scales to. This electricity scale lowball doesn’t make any sense. Thanos reacted to light and so has Thor.

Flash is on the level of Unadapted Kryptonians who can react to his speed which can statue the other members of the Justice League except for Superman. The other members who are shown having Relativistic+ to FTL speed feats.

Bro I’m sorry but no way Batman takes Spidey when it comes to speed. Spidey has been described as so fast that his attacks are like a blur, and his reaction speed is just so insane that if he was fighting seriously Batman would not even land a single hit. Superman never tried to fully blitz Batman at full speed. Batman has even admitted in the comics that even with all his prep and skills, if Superman really wanted to he could squish him into the pavement before he could even react. The scaling on speed is flawed on that part lol speed goes to Spidey and it’s not even close bro

I can’t really blame you for not including the higher scales for Spider-Man as I assume you just don’t know the scales, it would be disingenuous to say you left it out for a bias or anything especially considering these aren’t well known. I also can’t fault you for not knowing all the DCEU debunks. Again, I think it’s just a knowledge check. I do think you should do more research on topics in the future, but this was a fun watch and would love to see more live action debating from you in the future, just make sure you do a little more research haha (Yes I am aware this is a reupload, just wanted to address things better than in my original post)

Bro said Batman has speed advantage as if Spider-Man doesn't dodge faster than light projectiles in his movies lmfao (last fight Electro is beyond speed of light canonically due to the Iron Man battery). Even if we highball Batman as that high reaction time Parker still speed blitzes him solely because he has much better Stamina and strength. Superman was not going all out in Batman vs Superman and in Justice League, either one, Supes was literally dogwalking all of JL, including Batman, until his hoe arrived so you can't really mention that shit. The only real thing he did was block a VERY PREDICTABLE eye laser attack. If you take the "out of movie" material from people that were involved in the movie then Tobey's Spider-Man has every single feat of 616 Spider-Man up to the year 2002, which is casually throwing around 50 ton tanks and having every single web gadget that 616 did but with unlimited webbing. So since Holland and the other two Spideys were generally on a similar level that must mean Holland also has all of these feats, right? If we include Holland's Spider-Man in this, why not take the Iron Man drone army? It was his at one point, include it if you're gonna allow Batlfeck to have his Batman v Superman armor alongside the gauntlets. You're legitimately insane, dare I say stupid, if you think Batfleck is faster or lands a single hit on any live action Spider-Man.

Ngl, the Batman calcs/feat comparisons are a bit outrageous. Spidey is realistically winning most encounters 8/10. Batman is heavily carried by the plot to keep up with his superpowered peers.

Inconsistent writing in regards to physics. Almost impossible to get a proper scaling. Never seen Batman straight up dodge point blank gunfire but somehow he manages to avoid plasma and/or light based attacks on the regular. Can probably sum it up to bad writing.

@Ldsemoboy And Spider-Man also did the same with Quick Sliver 😭 that whole idea of Batman being able to do things he isn’t supposed to do is for plot. If the writers want to make a character do something they can regardless if it makes sense or not. What option would be more accurate? Some superhuman with spider senses reacting to a speedster or a normal human being able to do things that a normal human can't do and getting carried by the writers for plot.
