The mythologies of Batswana regarding their origins have not been explored prior to this presentation in the manner explained. Using a selection of known myths, we reveal the hidden meanings that create links to ancient Egyptian royalty using linguistic ties. We examine the meanings of Tinitibane and Lowe to unravel their secrets.

I'm Lozi/Rotse from Barotse in Western Zambia... we have memory of this, my dad would tell me that we were even in the gaza region, Ki niti lwa swana... we have mixed with many groups including ba Sotho, ba Tembuzi, ba Chwezi, ba Tutsi, ba Luyana/Aluyi, Ba Rozvi/Roswi, from lower nile coming down south, through Great Zimbabwe. once one kingdom... the ruins in mpumalanga are much older than kemet, we moved around the continent, the Aluyi were known to be Kemetic outpost governors who policed use of dark magic, my people still have knowledge of magic and fragments of the distant past, we remember how we were before our dna was changed, we have memory of the flood, I'm happy this knowledge is coming out... one people, many names, same dialect

Very true, sotho speaking groups seceded from batswana, all of us, the thing of sotho-tswana is very wrong, it should be tswana people from whom, south sotho, bapedi seceded from, for the fact that south sotho called themeselves basotho doesn't make them the owner of the term sotho.. which means batho baso for us all.

I am sorry to break this to you. Yes Tswana people speak one of the Bantu/Batho/Batu/Beta/Vatu dialects. Yes I am sure in ancient times they did dwell in the Land of Egypt along the Nile before sojourning South through East Africa till the Southern Tip of Africa. The Bantu dialects are more similar to ancient sematic languages. Then have same words with the same meaning as Shematic langauges than Hamitc. The mid century researches did record that but modern European Linguists dispute that based on no evidence and no research. We the youth of modern times have started doing our own research learning all languages and we have noticed what the early colonists found when they did their own research. We gathering all information to disprove what the morden Eurpeans are pushing of side lining Bantu languages as different from Shematic and Hamitic languages.

It's interesting that Lowe sounds a lot like Yahweh and implies the same greatness. I also found that both the Bantu and Egyptians saw the snake as a sacred animal that is intertwined in the origin of man and the divinity of their Kings. The Portuguese drew a pictorial of the coronation of a bantu King from the Kingdom of Juda (Xwena) that featured a snake being used at the centre of the ceremony. The Egyptian Pharaohs wore a coiled snake on their crowns.

I appreciate your query. Reading, listening and comprehension are essential to any dialogue. It is clear in the video that I'm quoting Setiloane 1976: 12-13; Brown 1925: 19 who researched and made those conclusions themselves. I personally don't agree with their findings as I'm well aware of the origin of Batswana royalty going back to 4 000 B.C. However, this was not the purpose of this video. Please look at the context of the content rather than select a point of contention for raising a completely different discussion.

Ferdy, you might be right, but you don't understand the context. Basotho is a generic term that representing all tribes affiated with the sotho-tswana culture clusters. Each tribe was led by a king/chief who ruled his tribe I.e morafe/ sechaba in Sesotho respectively . There was never a paramount King amongst the Sotho-tswana tribes except that they recognized each other seniority through birth rights. E.g . Which house is a senior house? Who eats first and who last . This was determined by old age traditions. To cut the long story short ....All tribes will tell you the lineage of the Sotho-tswana lineage. King Moshoeshoe appeared late in history during the difaqane wars to gather all the lost tribes who, as a result of tribal wars needed some sort of security and leadership. Hence King Moshoeshoe started his vision own kingdom of basotho people at Thaba-busio. Who is the elder tribe would be a better Question. Not generic terms such as sotho/tswana / pedi.
@ferdykeyz4583
@ferdykeyz4583 2 жыл бұрын
@@phalemokgosi8957 I hear what you're trying to say but the term Basotho only came later and it was a reference not only to the bakwena royalty who had separated from bahurutshe but there were ngunis who were running away from Shaka as well who got intermixed and became one Basotho group,this term was only officialized by kgosi Moshoeshoe in the late 1800s long after they had separated from batswana. That is why Lesotho Royalty is largely bakwena and they also call themselves dikwena. Kgosi mogale also with his monarchy later went to Lesotho with his people even to this day they're still there. Yes The Sothotswanas are a nation not a tribe per se. So an offshoot is a branch from a root both Basotho and batswana were not called by their current names now including bapedi. But they were all speaking the pure original peculiar language which is now called Setswana. Batswana moved away from the ngunis because they didn't want their language to be corrupted. But Basotho got mixed up with the ngunis,hence today a once upon a time one group of people that spoke one language now can't understand each other when speaking,Basotho will tell you they don't understand setswana and vice versa how is that possible if both these groups were speaking different languages when living together? Bapedi history specifically mentions that they offshooted from the Setswana speaking kgatlhas and now they speak a slightly different language because they intermingled with Vendas and shonas. People are asking what's the difference between Basotho and hlubis? You know why? Because they're intermingled with ngunis. In the setswana language there are no letters Q,X,Z and V because it has no nguni influence,yes when we're angry we say NXA probably written NTLA, even when we say take heart/sorry we say NXAE! Probably written ntlae! As I've heard! But Sesotho language they say "qeda" hlanya" "XoXa" "Leqheku" and many more, those are direct nguni words and then you get barotse(balozi) who also speak sesotho but slightly different from Basotho because they also intermingled with other groups, so how does one explain that? It's linguistics and migration. And intermingling go to Pretoria now there are other Bantu groups who migrated to where batswana are and were trying to speak setswana and ended up mixing setswana with their different languages and when you speak setswana se se lolameng they laugh at you and say you don't know setswana,I remember one motswana guy was even angry telling me they were laughing at him😂. But when they slang it bare ke sepitori,do you realize that a new language has been birthed right there? The term Basotho is only exclusive to Basotho because that name came up only after they had long separated from batswana even bapedi have never called themselves Basotho,remember these terms come from other people not the named group itself.
